my little brother was playing with it and some how has got a birthday card he made as our default new document anybody know how i can restore a blank page as our norm because its really annoying when you open a new document and have to deleted a couple of pictures and half a page of text

anyway, um . . . not sure really sorry, computers at school have them, I have office xp, i'll see if i can find something :)

just delete the saved birthday card file
it should be easy to find

hey smoke ... he has deleted the card file .. its stored only as the blank document template.... how do i restore all defaults ?

I format my disk but i haven't install office yet!I format the disk 3 times!!!!!Yesterday!

ok you said to delete the file that the birthday card was stored on.... i have but when ever i open a blank document it( the birthday card file) appears as a blank document. i need to edit the new document template. Or resotre my defaults (how do i restore all defaults?)

oh so u mean even after u delete the birthday card file, the card still appears as the default document?

there is something to do with you normal.dot in your microsoft office directory... the actually location is c:\program files\microsoft office\templates\normal.dot

try reinstalling Office/Word
you won't lose any documents anyway :)

no need for doing that.. just copy the normal.dot file back into that directory will solve the problem.. i think..:D

I'm actually using COREL Word Perfect and other COREL progs.............I'm very least in using Office......:rolleyes:
