Even when I try to avoid FIFA I end up with it! No matter I have played it and had a bit of fun. I have come to the conclusion, like others, that it's just a game. I don't care anymore. EA is never going to change so there you go. I wouldn't have got this myself, believe me. Compared to WC 98 it's another step down. Where are the fixtures lists? The extensive scorers and cards charts? All you get is the fleeting update on the screen after a game. And why do they persist in having the team act like they've won the cup when all they did was win their first game? Running around like madmen!!! Notice I don't mention gameplay because it doesn't exist. At least the bending mid air balls are gone. I still hate the missed 6780mph shots. Ahh what the hell, just a game. Yep, me too. I'm married and my wife totally doesn't mind me playing soocer games on the computer for hours while she watches TV. She throws in the odd comment every now and then when the computer humiliates me (she seems to miss all my best goals for some reason!).
