I like it alot. Not great outta the box but after you make some of the changes recomended here, it becomes great (even if you don't actually play soccer). One major gripe though, much, much to short. PLEASE, someone figure out how to unlock those tournaments!!!!!!

I like it. It is way better then Fifa 2002. Why does everyone hate it? The game play is addictive.

Not everyone hates it. It's just that people who dont like it spend alot of time posting about why they dont like it, thinking that others or EA give a sh!t. How many versions of FIFA have been released? Each year there are those who are not happy and gripe about it yet EA releases another ver. and it sell's well. Keep on cryin guys, we hear ya (yeah right)!

And how do you know that EA is not reading these complaints. There are EA representatives reading these boards all the time and sometimes even undercover ones. I was contacted by an EA representative last year when I told people to boycott FIFA after FIFA2002 was released. He asked me for suggestions as how to improve the next version of FIFA. Apparently, most of my suggestions went out the window. This maybe due to the fact that they might actually improved the game and make it realistic. But EA doesn't want to make FIFA realistic because it might turn young gamers and people who like simple gameplay away. God knows a little challenge might actually be good for them. And let me remind you that if people don't complaint, EA will continue to make FIFA with little or no changes with exception to graphics because we all know that what FIFA gamers want. There is an old saying, there is no progress without actions. If people don't like the game, then they have the rights to complain. This is a forum where individuals are free to express their opinions within the bound of the forum's rules. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Simple as that. Here is a hint, if you hate all of these complaints then why don't you start a thread thanking EA for making such a great game. All of these complaints will go away a month from now and all the patches threads will show up. Just like what the FIFA2002 forum is now.

pokwang. Just give up the mission of trying to make everyone hate FIFA. It is like trying to fit a square block in a circle groove. There will always people who like FIFA for various reasons. For some, it is the only soccer game they have been exposed to. That is just a fact. And no matter what you say, they will never change their mind. So just chill with the anti FIFA comments.

BTW, the fact that schils doesn't play soccer is probably why he enjoys it so much. There alot of people like him out there. Wait until they watch the WC this summer and see what real football or soccer is really like. Man, I want to see a fireball comes out when Roberto Carlos whipped one of his wicked freekicks.

Yeah, your right, I don't play soccer. And I don't drive race cars or fly jet's. I'm not a helicopter pilot. Yet I play jet sims, or f1 racing games etc...This forum is about a video game right? Not actually physically playing soccer! You guy's make great points about soccer, I just think they should be made In some kind of 'sporting' forum not hear. Like i said, keep on cryin, as you mentioned yourself, your suggestions to EA went where?

Let me put this nicely. Yes, it is about a soccer game and we have a rights to complain and make suggestions to make it better on this forum. Just because EA didn't use my suggestions doesn't mean that they didn't listen. The fact that they contacted me show some effort on their part to try to improve the game. Like I said, my suggestions were too simulation like and they want FIFA to have simple and direct gameplay so people like you who don't play soccer :D can enjoy it.

BTW. There are other forums besides this one here. There is even a soccer forum where people can talk about soccer. I don't think that you knew that since all of your posts are on this forum. You see the Soccer Gaming forums underneath the SG logo. Click on it and you will see that there are many other forums.

I like it and reckon it is cool!

I have the X BOX version and there is some things wrong with it.

1. You can't save replays
2. You can't edit or create Players or teams

It is still addictive and the game play is great.

Stop comparing it to ISS and all that other crap. They are all good games! ISS rocks and FIFA rocks too!!!

I don't care what u ppl think as long as I like it I am happy!

Not a waste of Money to me!!

:D :D :D

Yeah, yeah. Whatever. This is boring now. We have done this already. Some like it. Some hate it. I will continue to enjoy it despite what people say. And I will continue to defend why i like it to those who bash it as well. But unlike Canadian 10, it is not neccesary for me to have the last word after i've made my point, so flame away.

Compared to World Cup 98, this year's edition looks better but plays worse, MUCH worse. I just want to know why EA Sports are finding things to leave out in FIFA games year after year??? This year we can't edit players, we can't even view other scores or the top scorers. What's up with that???

Do you all remember "Euro 2000"??? It wasn't the best game but it had plenty of cool features to it. You were able to edit team kits and edit players. Players get their kits dirty. You had the highlights reel at the end of each game.

I just don't like this game. Since World Cup 98, FIFA series kept on getting worse and worse but I kept on buying the game hoping that it will improve. FIFA 2002 was the first fifa game that I didn't buy since 94 but I bought World Cup 2002 hoping it will be different but I was wrong. I think that the "boycot" everyone had been talking about for the past 2 years should take place now. After what I saw, I doubt that FIFA 2003 is going to be any better. I don't know what part of the game would they leave this time.

My verdict: I hate World Cup 2002 and I will not be buying anymore FIFA games.

I prefer there is not cool feature like dirty kits if using dirty kits mean sacrifice fps like in euro2000. I think dirty kits feature and highlights reel take too much memory so this will reduce game performance. So i think its better off. And thats why newer FIFA version never use that feature again. If you want to compare, i think WC 2002 have better performance than FIFA 2002 even WC 2002 have better graphics. I think EA do good job on this one.

The game sucks just like all other EA games except RTWC98 which was a real shift in the world of soccer gaming.

I think the main reason that some people like EA games is the fact that they`ve never been exposed to other soccer games like one of u said. I used to buy EA games and i still do just because they are the best soccer games for a PC. Before last year, i used to think that EA makes the best soccer games in the world until i played winning eleven for the first time and only then i realised how crappy EA games are. I thought that EA would make something different this year after all that fuss before releasing FIFA2002 but it turned out to be a failure attempt to emulate winning eleven.
EA games suck...i really hope i can get that PS2 this summer.

EA dont need to emulate winning eleven. In my opinion they have good play in the different way. It will be nightmare if FIFA going to be Winning Eleven clone just with FIFpro licence. Btw there is some kind of winning eleven series will be arrive on PC this month so we can play whatever we want and Fifa dont need to clone WE like some people wish.
