can someone plz help me i cannot get the patch to work it keeps giving me an error message that it has performed an illegal operation evertime i click on the ball to start playin.

you should search for thread with this name, because all questions were answered when the patch was released but anyway:

Do you have an original fifa2002 or a cracked one?
Do you have the CD inserted?

The patch wont work in cracked versions of the game or without the cd because it uses a new EXE file so you need the original exe to make it work.
And the CD, because it uses some files from the cd and not from the original instalation.

And do you have the FIX PATCH?
