I have five coaches, three are listed as very good and two as superb. Now whenever I buy a new player I wait a while and then ask for a coach report from all my coaches. The response is always the same, something like this player has a positive effect on the team, or this is an average player.

I always feel that they are wrong and once the player starts performing (which is straight away) I then ask for another coach report, it always comes back as something like them being a keen admirer of this player or we must strive to keep this player at the club as he has his best years ahead of him.

Is this a case of coaches playing it safe? I mean they should know the quality of a player before he starts playing well otherwise their opionions are pretty worthless. Anybody can see a player is good if he is playing well, they should know the potential of a playing before that time. This isn't an isolated problem, it happens to all my new players.

I once had a player they said would never hold down a first team place and I should transfer him. I ignored them and the player is quality, now their saying he's a top player. Coaches seem to be a bit of a waste of time in this game.

This is always my golden rule about coaching. If you have the player in your first team then you should really no him quite well, and therefore there is no need to ask thgem. For players in the rserve team who you do not no then this is the best bet. When buying players i only use coaches to find out there hidden attributes. As they are never any good at giving their own opinions.
