The Official patch does two things.
1. Makes the game run a lot smoother, it eliminates the choppy gameplay.
2. Updates the rosters

Hi,
do you have the POTD patch?
If you do; can you describe the effects with the official patch. Thanks mate.
Thanks for the info... Does it replace the custom player and teams(overwrite them?)
How do YOU know what the patch does? Those are basic assumptions at the best, unless you work at EA Sports

I tell you guys 1 thing the patch does for sure and that is it screws up my game. After i run it the game goes to the main menu and any option i choose causes the game to crash back to windows. So backup your game before you try it.

what do you mean it updates the rosters? can you give a for example, like what more players, current teams, what? also can we turn in out playstation discs for the updated version? I think not...

i think the game crashes back to windows because of the db files not being made from the updated version
just a theory

what roster update, i see nothing!
if u want to update a roster, update it for better teams first, e.g. silverstre for manU, sitill NOT there... inter's 3 new players signed recently... extend the subst. lists and reserv. lists in all clubs... instead of giving ****.
where are the subst.s and reserves?????
only a few are given by EA...they suck.
If you can make the game, don't **** the name 'FIFA'..
EA ain't worthy of using the name "FIFA"

I've had a look at the roster updates and I'm still searching. What's annoying is that I already have a lot of db file material which I presumably have to enter in again if I'm to get the benefit of the less choppy gameplay. Or is there a way of restoring your old db files post patch upgrade? Or a way of just updating the .exe files and so on without updating the rosters?
