I have just blown my motherboard on my good comp trying to install a new HD. Guess I won't be using it for a bit.

Nope, Just the motherboard itself. It'll be fixed in a couple days.:D

i would have understand that you burned it while installing a processor or ram, but a hd ? :p did you installed it while it was running or something ? :p

I've got a funny story, once one of my friends tried to change the voltage of his mb while the comp was running. Result : the mb, the ram, and all the cards LITERALLY melt down :p :p everything was destroyed appart of the fan...

Just plug in the IDE cable the wrong way, Boot up your comp and off you go.:D

take a stroll with ya motherboard, find a nice cliff, not an ugly one :D and drop it :D
