Hi, i juz bought this game 2days ago, and frankly, i think this game has a lot of flaws in gameplay. I do not want be like many other people who keeps complaining it is a very bad game. I personally think if we can improve our skill, we can eventually beat the COM in World Class mode. The fun comes in when you can really use your skill to beat the COM.
So i hope people can contribute tips and tactics here, instead of complaining about how bad WC2002 is.

LEt me start off with crosses. How to cross to your strikers when u r down the wing? Most of the time, my crosses always go off or out of play. Why? I notice that crosses always go one direction, and it is very hard to center it. Is it because of the auto crosses turned on? Is it better to turn off auto crossing? Pls comment

How do we do headers? Sometimes we head, sometimes we trap the ball, sometimes the com wins the ball and u scramble all over the grass. Does the game compares the stats of the players and determines who wins the ball? Or is it all about timing?
Any comments?

This game is better than avg and if we start practising and stop complaining, we can really find that it is a beautiful game after all :)

Being a big fan of Pro Evolution, I found it very hard to come to terms with the difference of the game.

But I think that you need to give the game time, I really think that you have to keep going at it, to learn new tricks etc.

I too have noticed the crossing problem, and then sometims you head and then sometimes you control the ball. I've not been able to use the keepy uppy ability in the game to any positive use, and would love to hear of anyone who knows how.

Also, I may sound a bit thik here. But is it me or can you only have one player mode in the World Cup?!!

I am using the PS2 version,............. and have just had a thought that this site could just be for the Computer version of Fifa World Cup 2002. Ahh, fcuk it I'll post it anyway!

I hope i can get some answers, but i think everybody is so disappointed with the game. Same old crap, same old sticky ball, same stupid AI, hey but come on, FIFA 97, 99 is a bad game, FIFA 2002, 2001 and WC 2002 is better than them definetely!! No game is perfect, and i really hope gamers discuss tactics and gameplay instead of complaining how bad it is!!

Irobertson: There is a certain distance between the ball and the player's head then will the player head the ball...
i seen another web page that says shootX2 is head the ball but it is not always so...

I do not know about PS2, but for PC, one player only if you do not connect your com to another com for multiplayer(eg lan, dialup, matchmaker, direct ip)

And one more thing: why is it the multiplayer matchup doesn't work for me? I read the readme, it says IE 4 and above it will be able to work. I do have that, but i keep getting casta net error. WHy?????
