I don't like it too much but i am not the coach :)
Pancho 14-05-2002, 06:30:AM Why don't you like? They are like the best players in Spain.
ricardo 14-05-2002, 08:10:AM 7 midfielders who like the middle and only 2 like to play close to the lines, that's why i don't like it
Internazionale 14-05-2002, 09:42:AM Great Spain squad. :D
Pancho 14-05-2002, 10:14:AM Maybe there plan is to play through the middle.?!
Can't stop the rush... 14-05-2002, 10:35:AM It's pretty good picks by Camacho.
You don't like it cause not enough Depor players?:)
andylau 14-05-2002, 03:13:PM Great squad.
Hope they don't screw it up again like they also did during major tournaments.

Nop, I prefer they rest and be fresh next season.
About the roster i'd use what works fine and this year Valencia midfielders were playing great, so i miss Vicente and Rufete.
Camacho had said he wouldn't pick bench players but i see Mendieta and Casillas in the list.
I also see 2 Mallorca players, a team that was in the second division for 60 minutes in the last game of the season.
Hierro and Nadal are about 70 years old, if we pass the first round and Spain meets Cameroun i want to see them running after Etoo, it can be funny.

I was suprised that Vicente was left out after he had a good season.
btw: This is what the Chilavert(Paraguay) thinks of the squad:
"José Luis Chilavert, portero y capitán de la selección paraguaya, opinó hoy que España, rival de su equipo en el Mundial 2002, no podría estar en una Copa del Mundo si tuviera que disputar la fase previa en Sudamérica. "(Los españoles) no se deben confundir si en las eliminatorias siempre juegan con Andorra, Liechtenstein o Israel. Si jugaran en Sudamérica seguro que no se clasifican", afirmó Chilavert."
I think he wants to get beat down 5-0 in the WC.:mrpimp:
Ruben Sosa 14-05-2002, 11:01:PM He just wants some attention. Spain are sure to at least go to second round.

He's not very smart, is he? He's only boosting Spain's motivation to beat them...
Silver_Boots 15-05-2002, 05:57:AM I'm very suprised Jose Molina isn't in the squad.
ricardo 15-05-2002, 10:20:AM Chilavert always does that
And about Molina, he doesn't get along with Camacho since the last Eurocup in Holland. After his mistake against Norway he wasn't selected again for the national team. Raul failed a penalty kick in that Eurocup against France but he wasn't "sentenced" as Molina was.

Unfortunately, or fortunately in Raul's point of view, he's the star striker in the Spanish team.
