I´ve read a message about a match England x Brazil that probably will be the last one in Wembley.
Will they really destroy Wembley????

Yep, I agree
Here in Brazil, people almost killed Havelange when he said that Maracană should be demolished. Wembley is where everything has started, where the soccer was born....

I hate to say it, but they are going to tear down the twin towers as well. OUTRAGE!

I can't believe people actually feel like this?

I'm born in England and I couldn't care about the Twin Towers and i'm glad that their demolishing Wembley, hopefully they'll build a better stadium that we can truly be proud off rather than spouting the usual crap about the 'hallowed turf' blah blah blah.

Oh, and its doubtfull that football was born in England, never mind Wembley. People shouldn't believe all the crap that comes out of this country, we like to talk bull**** and try to make England seem like a top world nation, which, lets face it, we're not.

Here is what is going down, it is being torn down in August and a new 80,000-100,000 expandable seating stadium is being built in it's place to be completed in 2003. The towers are being torn down and being replaced with a giant arch. The reason is because England need a new national stadium to try and get the 2006 World Cup which is in my mind, not going to happen.

Of course it wouldn't make sense to keep the whole Wembley stadium just for the tourists, but I'm sure they didn't need to wash up all of the classic stadium to build a new one.

In my opinion they should at least try to preserve some of the old structures. It's not just bricks and stones. Football as we now today grew up in places like that.

Let's hope they won't feel sorry for that in a couple of years...

It's f****ng awful that they are going to tear down Wembley.

They should do like Amsterdam did with the old Olympic Stadium: renovate it and use it as an athletics-stadium. Then they should build another big stadium somewhere else in Londen.

It seems they're going to build a new olimpic stadium on the same place with all modern safeties, 80.000 seats and stuff, so they'll demolish the old one.

I think that one of the only things that won't come down is the twin towers.

I'm sure it should be much better than the old one, but it's still a shame.

By the way, there are still few stadiums for fifa2k, why won't anyone make ol'Wembley for the game?
