Being optimistic I would say France vs. Germany.
Being realistic I would say Argentina vs. Italy

Personally i think England go no chance and are overrated as always.. they got a hard group and with their injuries may even struggle to make the 2nd round.

My prediction is Italy.. they are solid in all areas and i feel will go all the way.

But dont count out those damn french.

Italy as well, as long as they play consistently. On the other side it's harder to predict. Should be a great WC as always. People complain but I always enjoy them no matter what.

I'd love to see a Portugal X Spain or Brazil in the final, but I think France will face Italy in the last day of competition (wouldn't that be horrible? The re-edition of the Euro2000 final:p )

Yep, China v Senegal for me, they have all the stars, they are soo good, no other teams are gonna get near them, except for maybe Costa Rica who are also a top flight team.

sorry but i think this is impossible :D i know you are kidding :rolleyes: but if i am not wrong a final between a team from group A and another from group C is impossible (such as france vs brazil) :mambo: :crazyboy:

Yeah I reckon Brazil vs Italy

Are any of you guys playing Soccernets (http://www.soccernet.com) World Cup challenge where you pick the two group placing 1st and 2nd then you pick the 2nd round winners then quatars and so on. Its interesting when you look at the draw for the 2nd round and be on it looks as if the top half of the draw will have England, France, Brazil, Argentina where as Italy will have an easier path to the final. Also my outside pick is Turkey for quatar finals. As when you look a there draw if they finish behind Brazil in group C they will meet winner ofgroup H which is the weakest group.
