What's the weirdest sport you've played?

Let us all know!:crazyboy:

AGFA
A Game For All

We made it up, and its basically hockey (field not ice), with a soccer ball, 3 vs 3, on a fenced in half court tennis court, with planks of wood about .5metres X 1.5metres as goals (u have to hit them to score.
No rules basically, except no grabbing each other and stuff (u can barge all u want, just keep ur hands on the stick-u can jam people up against the cage too). Oh yeah, and if u deliberatley kick the ball, ur team cant score till its been touched 3 times (by different people) after the kick.
hehe
its fun, and makes u bloody buggered.
Im not going to mention how it got that name, we decided it stood for A Game For All, but that was after we had made up the name based on something else.
Cheers

We played a game when I used to be in Scouts called Wallball. We made a barrier across the middle of our hall and had a team of about 8 on each side. Two volleyballs. Have to hit people to get them out, but if you get caught on the full you are out, as well as if you hit the back wall on the full. And the ball is 'live' until it touches the back wall or another ball. It's mad fun.

We also played a game made up by a kid called Shane. Weirdly enough it was called Shane's Ball. We used to take that as being able to kick him in the knackers though..:D

Updown

Basically, we played it at school, and it could have a max of 6 on each team. What u do is u get a low balcony type thing, or a place where theres steps or whatever. Then one team stays above, while the other goes down. Then we got 20 soccer/tennis/rugby/basketball balls, and some cricket bats, and we had war. We would fight till we got bored. It was great!

Can't stop the rush...

It's a cool game, but its kinda hard to describe...

You play it on a Ping- Pong table with a volleyball. We discovered it in Poland, in my old skool. THere can be unlimited number of people, but you should start with at least 3 people on each side of the table. Person A hits the ball on the other side to person B. Person A runs to the opposite side, meanwhile Person B hits it to person C. Now Person B runs to the opposite side of the table.

#1. Orange hits it to Blue.
#2. Blue hits it back.
#3. Meanwhile Blue runs to the opposite side.
#4. Orange runs to the other side of the table at the same time.
#5. Navy hits it to the red guy.

The less people there is left, the faster you have to run. If you don't manage to hit the ball, u hit the net, u hit it over the table- you are eliminated. You continue goin like that untill 2 people are left. Then you play the Final, but withour running around the table.

Soo.... Do you get it? :D I told ya it was hard to explain:mambo:

yes, u can spike it. there is no time limit, coz after u hit it on the other side, its next persons in line turn to hit it back. we play it untill 2 ppl are left to play the final ;)

I just remembered, back in primary school, we made up this really cool hame called "GA-Ball" (me and my mate made it up, hence GA-Glen-my mate, and me-Alex)
Anyway, u used a tennis ball, and basically, and u had teams of about 10-11, on a soccer/rugby sized field, except with a goal about 1/4 the size of a soccer one.
U could run with the ball, or whatever. U could throw it forward, abck anyway. If u were tackled/tipped (depends which teacher was on duty) by the opposition, u would have to tap it on ur foot, and then, pass it off, and the game would continue.
However, to score u had to kick it in the goal, u couldnt just throw it. Also like Rugby League, u only get 6tackles, before its a hand over.
Sound pretty complex? nah its easy, and i still think it is one of the most fun games ive played. The type of game, that we could really make into a succesful sport. We used to have about 30 people playing every recess and lunch, for 2years!
hmmm, one day, im going to teach some people to play it again.
Cheers

When I was in Year 7 (final year of primary school) we played a variation on Australian Rules Football...

We played using a Soccerball, Soccer Goal and a goalie...

the rules of the game were the same as AFL (there were none :D)

We played this at lunchtime until the principal found out and suspended 8 boys after a Melee (all in brawl) broke out while playing it!

We played it in class time once with AFL rules using the Football field

our teacher had no idea of the rules, so the lunchtime game broke out a few times!!!

needless to say we only played it twice!

Edit: We called is Psychoball!!!

Funny how everyone took it for granted that there is a game of underwater icehockey!:crazyboy:

We used to play soccer at school on the playground at lunchtime, using the rubber bung from a science laboratory belljar as the ball. As it was tapered it would roll in a large circle, so power was the main technique. Also only 50 or so kids on the playground were playing, the other 600 or so were just in the way!

Stevie B

The other wierd playground ball-game was soccer with a PowerBall. yes, one of those super-bouncy balls that rebound to about 90% of the height from a straight drop. Needless to say, high scoring games resulted!:crazyboy:

Parra Power

Once, at school, we played football (or soccer) with a rugby ball. If the ball went more than 10 metres in the air, we could catch it and then it became AFL rules (except for the goals) until it touched the ground (not including bounces). Once that happened, we returned to football rules.
