I have some troubles with the beautiful custom kits I use in F2K. In the edit-screen, everything is set correctly, but when I go into a friendly some teams appear with the wrong colours. What can this be ?? Please help !!

Take off kit clashing

What is "Kit clashing" ??? Please explain. Somebody else told me the problem is in the ea-software, and it cannot be fixed. I'm getting a bit desperate....

I need you to be very specific with me on what the problem is exactly. We need to have a good visual picture of your problem and we can't see this, unless you give specific details.

You say that everything looks good in the customize section but some of the teams have wrong colors during a friendly game? Well there are 2 clubs per friendly match.

The team that has the new jersey, are there colors correct? The team you play against, is there color correct?

EA Sport's kit clashing does not work like we'd all like it to. Some pk file numbers only support 2 color while others support 3 colors. Another problem is that the game can not recognize kits that resemble each other that well. Also, when it trys to figure out the kit clashing between an edited kit and an original kit. I had a problem with this with one of my jerseys. The colors were primary red, secondary white, but when i played against certain clubs of a certain color code, my jersey would end up completely red. It's something we can't really do much about, it's another EA goof up.

Sometimes, some of these edited kits aren't made correctly. Your primary color should cover most of the jersey, your secondary the second most, and the teritiary color the least. They also have to take into consideration that on certain pk.files, the file only supports 2 colors, so they have to create a kit with only a primary and secondary colors.

If you have a problem with this during a season for every single game, then the problem could be with the kit.

The problem is as follows:

When I choose 2 clubs for a friendly (random), both with custom kits, some of them appear with other colours than in the customize section. I know exactly with which teams I have these problems.

I found this out, because when I install a home and away custom kit for a random team, I choose friendly and choose that team twice, to see what the jerseys look like in action. That is when is see the colour-problem with certain teams.

Also when I choose another team to play against, the problem stays, but it seems to be random, very strange.

I tried to change the pk-numbers, regarding the 2 and 3 colour ones, but this does not help.

Does Fifa by the way not automatically choose the right jersey for home and away matches ? Sometimes the away team wears its home kit.

yes, my friend, you've been specific enough. The problem you have has to do with EA Sports Kit clashing techinique. Sometimes the game has a difficult time telling apart two different jerseys and sometimes it just screws things up, especially with custom kits.
Most of the jerseys made out there haven't been tested thouroughly for kit clashing and considering that the EA Sports kit clashing itself sucks it's understandable why. What EA should do is let us have the option of what jersey to wear prior to a game while the opposing team always wears it's designated away or home kit. This would elimate this problem.
what you can do is download other kits of the same club you have problems with. That's the only suggestion I have for you. Maybe someone else can give you other advice

I tried to use another home kit for AC Milan, one of the clubs that screwed up over here, and it worked !! They did not screw up anymore, so I have to go out and look for other kits. /me is happy again http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
