View Full Version : Is there an official EA patch for Fifa 2002? PurpleAce 28-05-2002, 08:20:PM Did I dream this? I thought I remember seeing that EA had released a patch to correct the players in wrong position bug as well as the crazy long shots going in. Hakeem 29-05-2002, 09:11:AM the update should fix the problem. check in the fifa 2002 main folder for a file called versin.txt and make sure that it says built 416 (afetr the update off course) Alex 29-05-2002, 10:53:AM yeah, and u cant update a pirated version. Also, it doesnt take much to work out where u have to put ur players, if u use wingers. Just fiddle around a bit, and ull work it out. Oh yeah, the upgrade doesnt fix the long shots thing, but it does change the shooting gameplay ever so slightly. it fixes te problem, where when ur right next to the goal, u shoot much more accuratley now. First of all, I bought the original game, it's not pirated. Second, you are sure, I don't have the build 416. But the strange thing is that the automatic update isn't working. I run it, but nothing happens...
