i think you should replace Sutton for Robbie Fowler and replace Parlour for McManaman or Hargreaves

Why call up crap players like Parlour and Sutton?

Try Andy Cole or Heskey.

Andy Cole should get a look in.
Manage the U21's too to get a good look at the future stars:

Dean Ashton
Luke Chadwick
Jamie Pennant
Joe Cole (CALL HIM UP TO THE FULL SQUAD NOW!!!!!!)
Shola Ameobi
Lomana Lua Lua
Dave Kitson
Cherno Samba.

I prefer Martyn to Seaman but whatever.
Give Sol Campbell the captaincy.

Alright, if I was England's manager, I'd play like this, then again some of u will laugh, some of u will agree, some of u won't comment, and it all goes back to one's personal opinion.
Gk- James
CB/R-Ferdinand
SW -Campbell
CB/L-Southgate
DM/R-Gerrard
DM/L-Either Seth Johnson or Jamie Carragher man-marking the opposition's offensive midfield "maestro", e.g.:Zidane, Aimar, Orteguita, Gallardo, Scholl, etc...
RWB -Beckham (C)
LWB -Ashley Cole or Chris Powell
AM -Scholes
FWs -Heskey
-Owen

Bench: GK- Seaman
CB- Ehiogu
CB- Wes Brown
AM/R- Sean Davis
AM- Barmby
RDM- Murhphy
RCM- McManaman
L(?)- Either Ashley Cole or Chris Powell (look starting line-up)
CAM- Either Joe Cole or Frank Lampard
FWs- Ricketts and Fowler/Jansen
I would also consider calling up R. Brevett (Fulham), R. Parlour, Michael Ball (any Gers' fans out there? how has mickey ball performed?), Trevor Sinclair, Hargreaves, Wayne Bridge, and Vassell, even Kirkland around 2003 and Jermaine Defoe.
BTW: I noticed one of you in this thread wrote that Lua-Lua was available for England's Under 21s, dudes he played at the last African Nation's Cup for DR. Congo, not sure exactly which one of the Congos but he was there
