Trezeguet played well only during the 1st half... 2nd half he disappeared - Henry played better 2nd half.
Petit, Leboeuf, Dugarry, Djorkaeff, Wiltord played very bad!
France had no organization, specially during the 2nd half, with everybody attacking with no sense... :mambo:
Senegal played for counter-attacks and it worked. Sylva (GK), Diouf and Coly were the best players. :mrpimp:

Hmm..a little far-fetched I would say.
But hey all credit to the Senegal team. They were firm defensively, though their occasional lapses at the back were never exploited by France.

France had their chances, but they blew it. Senegal looked sharp in the few chances they had on goal, on effort which scrapped the left side of the post from a tight angle.

France had 7 or 8 corners and they failed to connect properly with ALL of them. Henry was misfiring, Trazeguet was the only "lively" player. Viera looked like he was in a deep "emotional shock" :D even before the start of the game and did not really make his presence felt in the center of midfield. His usual surging passes were missing from his game today.


Great result for Senegal, but can they proceede to the last 16...
I still have my doubts on that one.

Diouf was crap????? I don't think you was watching the same match mate, because he was the difference between the two sides, he was the man of the match. Of course Anelka is a good player, but because you know nothing about Diouf doesen't mean he is crap. He has had a good season for Lens and he is only 20. He is more hungry than Anelka and has a better attitude, with a much better work rate.

What a boring match.... I almost fell asleep. The way Senegal kept kicking the ball everywhere and France playing like sh!t really created a poor match. I think France will still qualify for next round but they are way too overrated.

the short and quick passing of the hard running senegal team won the game in the first half. but the second half it was the KICK THE BALL ANYWHERE IT CAN GO tactic which is what a smart team would do againts the world champions if theyre winning

It was a good game. A bit slow, i agree. Diouf played great, but was offside a bit too much. Senagal's tactic of packing the midfield was the winner for them. But on another day, with a bit of luck, France could have won.

Zidane-less France didn't really have any idea to breakdown the Brave African,,, Great win for Senegal..

Great game by Senegal! They played really well. Tony Sylva was my man of the match. France obviously lacked the skill and creativity of Zidane, but they will play better in the next two games. I don't know what is with France's defense. They need a kick up the backside. Time for me to watch 3 games in a row now.

DIouf was offside .a round 200 times ... sometimes 5 yards off... when his team could've had some great chances
he lost a lot of balls aswell trying to do his tricks. Which allowed for most of France's chances in the second half.
I'm telling you ... I would not like to have Diouf in my side. on the basis of yesterday's performance...
he's too complacent something you often pay dearly in international footy.
ok he had 1 or 2 highlights including on the goal .... where his cross wasn't up to it really.
a part from that sure he was hungry ... but anyone can do a little running around.

i disagree ... its really easy to say how a striker was offside 7 0r 8 times and thus had a bad game but it wasnt his fault he timed many runs well and then the midfielders slowed and waited then gave it off rather than giving it off early (hence the midfielders slowness meant Diouf was offside all the time)

also every time he touched the ball he looked like turning on some magic and thats cool for me ! go for the goals and do it in style !!
