well.. if it is two hard disk.. hmmm... it will be a bit difficult.. if two os in one hard drive could be done...

well, tell you what.. the best way for u to go about this is that get two mobile rack or there are some in the market that give you two in one so you can switch around with your hard drive.. this is what i'm using now... it is risky to use partition magic.. i never trust this kind of software.. :rolleyes:

easy mate

you will have 1 boot.ini & it'll be on your active partition/disk

anyway, past this into a text file & call it boot.ini

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

this is the important bit:

default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT

partition is the partition number starting from 1
multi is your disk controller number

Disk is always 0 (unless your using SCSI) & Rdisk is your disk number,

\WINNT is the directory u installed windows in
you probably used \WINDOWS so just replace it and call it whatever you want in the next line

i'm sure you can now manage to add WIN98 to that list too and have a boot menu when you load up

well ur not the first person to have said that :p

anyways....i think ur pretty much a novice coz i know a friend who has used that successfully....

i dunno what to say .......

Format ur HDD and try installing only XP...or if u want XP and 98 , Install 98 first , partition ur HDD and put XP in ur slave drive....

and if that does not work ......well , call "THE COMPUTER GUY".
