View Full Version : Who should partner Owen up front??
Mulder 01-06-2002, 06:19:PM I preferred Robbie Fowler,,,when they play together at Liverpool, their partnership really blossom and fear by Premiership rivals..although their partnership was brief. Heskey has been partnering Owen for 2 to 3 seasons,,,and not much to be said bout their partnership,,couse Heskey can't quite put the ball at the back of the net to often.. Sheringham,,hmmnn,,,can partner anyone but he was more effective as substitute who can change the game,,,Exciting Vassel are untested as Owen's deadly strike partner,,,,So, my vote goes to Robbie Fowler,,,,anyone..???:mrpimp:

Ive heard that it will be Fowler upfront, with Heskey on the left wing. Thats playing Heskey slightly out of position, but it includes all three of the players, who SHOULD be there, and England dont really have a leftwinger anyway, its their weakest position. Sven has also hinted at doing this, and playing Heskey outwide in the midfield.
One last minor hint, is that the squad numbers tend to hint that Sven will be starting with all three of them.

Mr Erickkson likely to play Heskey on the left and partnering Vassell with Owen,, Still hoping to see Owen and Fowler play together!:D

Both are two very pacy and explosive players when on the pitch, and unlike Heskey, Vassel takes his chances and that can only help England. When Dyer is fit, Scholes should be shifted to the left and Dyer in the center. Just my opinion.:D :Bow:
