first time here, thought you guys could maybe help me out. I have a Voodoo 3 3000, and so I've installed the voodoo 3 patch yesterday, and I've been unable to play the game since. The game and menus work fine, but when an actual match starts, the keyboard simply stops responding. I cannot control the players and I can't even get out of the match, since the Escape key doesn't work either. I also see those three bands on the screen but that is not the major issue... anyone else have this problem?

Just install the game with its original files (and if u want install de easports v1.1 patch), then delete the file voodoo2a.dll from your fifa99/trash directory. Done! It's as simple as that, no more patches needed.

I've done that, and it doesn't change the situation, except getting rid of the bands on the screen. The keyboard still goes dead on me as soon as I start a match, or even training. None of the keys respond, not even Escape. It's driving me nuts!!!

Hi Senna I have a Voodoo3 and have no problem with Fifa'99 after I downloaded the patch for Fifa'99 from EA Sports website I don't no if it will help but give it a try.

The problem started when i installed the EA patch... the graphics are gorgeous, but that doesn't do me a lot of good because I can't play at all. None of the keys work once a match starts... the keyboard simply dies. I have the latest drivers, so I really dont know what is the problem.

Where is the patch?
I have the version of FIFA99 that came with the Voodoo 3000, is the patch still needed?

I don't think you need it since you got the version of the game that comes with Voodoo 3 card package in Europe. I didn't, 'cause, you see, I live in Canada, and football isn't all that popular here http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif) Instead, I got Need for speed 3, Unreal and Descent 3.
