Seems like I have some explaining to do, doesn't it?
Patch Of The Day was meant to be released on Sunday as the culmination of the football season following the FA Cup Final. By 7pm Saturday it was looking pretty obvious that I wasn't going to be finished in time, a fact which was not being helped by a four hour power cut. Not to worry, I tried to get a message to Chris via a friend of mine on IRC - this message apparantly never arrived.
Since Saturday I have not been online at all, as I had been preparing for an exam I had this morning. I'm using every moment of my spare time possible to make this patch possible, and I was positive when I posted to the forum that the patch could have been out on Sunday. This did not happen and I am sorry.
As for deleting posts which may criticise me, I haven't been online since Saturday. If Ric chose to delete it, thats no concern of mine. As a matter of fact, I don't care what people have to say now, just as long as they keep their mouths firmly shut when we release the patch on Wednesday, when we will silence them.
Just a quick final thought on the matter: Valve finished Half-Life in December 97, but felt that they could do better. Rather than releasing it like other firms, they kept the best bits and went back to the drawing board for another year. The rest is history. Think about it.
