View Full Version : Torch...
Before you get your bowels in an uproar...
I mistakenly deleted the thread that we had going on why a previously posted message was deleted.
SORRY
It was an accident and they happen.
Anyway, now that we know which post was yours that I did deleted the other day, here is your explanation, it is very simple, so please read it and re-read it as many times as you feel necessary...
6) Be very careful with what you say in your topic. I cannot edit topics and will remove them if swearing is used there. If you have a well thought out opinion, don't waste it by saying something stupid in the topic.
It seems you think just because your "swear" word was censored, that makes it ok. Well I don't. Have you ever heard of intent?
It is the intent that I don't like.
As I've said a million times, if you have something truly intelligent to say, you shouldn't have to swear to get your point across.
If you don't like it, sorry, but that is the way it is.
Please refrain from giving me orders on what to read and not read in this forum in the future, that is something I don't take kindly to and is a sure fire why to get yourself kicked off, got it?
Torch 24-05-2000, 01:09:AM Fine. I understand, message received. However, at the risk of inciting a further riot- there's no need to threaten me the way you did at the end of your post. I hear what you are insinuating and I dont appreciate it. You are an administrator and you are supposed to be a PROFESSIONAL no matter what.
Sure, I was wrong to goad you the way I did and IM SORRY- I was smarting from before and trying to blow off steam. I would have thought however, (and I totally expected) that you'd just ignore my comment.
Also, I consider myself an intellegent person and I am fluent in several languages- english is among them. So dont insult me with little digs in your supposedly "kind" message.
There's absolutely no need for veiled threats and/or condescending remarks such as:
"it is very simple, so please read it and re-read it as many times as you feel necessary..."
See man, you're playing the game too, just you can get away with a whole lot more....You ARE the boss around here and I DO respect that. However, I will not be strongarmed into submission by anyone. No way is it fair for you to make threats like this:
"Please refrain from giving me orders on what to read and not read in this forum in the future, that is something I don't take kindly to and is a sure fire why to get yourself kicked off, got it?"
It wasnt an ORDER in any sense of the word. It was a question. Im not gonna cause trouble around here so dont get that idea...im trying to let you know I am not some punk anarchist kid attempting to cause mayhem...im just a regular guy who got a bit out of hand...NO need for you to keep "zinging" me. Okay?
Great Torch,
See I have no patience for those that come onto this forum and attack an innocent person over something that he is doing with his own time for other peoples enjoyment.
It is the number one thing that I will not stand for it at all, period.
Battiston 24-05-2000, 08:20:PM Who cares Ric,
Your forum is dead.
You should try to make it more friendly and find some topic to talk about instead of playing the sherif of a ghost town...
Brann-fan 24-05-2000, 08:55:PM I agree with Battiston on the last remark. You should stop playing sherrif of a ghost town, Ric.
Matt Holme 25-05-2000, 01:33:AM Battiston, use your brain. The reason why this forum's popularity is slipping is simply because FIFA 2000 is becoming older, and ppl have less to discuss about it.
You wait until September/October when we're all eagerly awaiting FIFA 2001. The forum will be bigger and better than ever and far from dead.
Brann-fan 25-05-2000, 06:20:AM Torch, I'm still with you on this.
Ric, to me it seems like you're abusing your power, because you are all powerful in this forum. This is starting to look like an dictatorship with Ric as Mao or someone. You are threatening Torch in an outrageous manner, hinting to him that "I'm the boss around here so don't think YOU are anyone". That's what you are doing. And I do not believe that you "accidentaly" deleted his thread.
You are obviously deleting the posts that you personally don't like, like Stalin did, only he killed those people he didn't like.
You see, Ric, that you are too attacking an innocent guy. He was fullt obliged to say how he felt about Drinky. I respect Drinky and the great work he's doing, but when he promise something, he must stand for it. You must realize that.
And don't you delete this post or thread with the lame excuse that I'm bashing another person, in this matter you. Because you are also bashing at other people. Torch, for instance. If you delete this post or thread or whatever, we have proof that you are abusing your power and that you are picking out those posts that you don't like, those who are a threat to you. Because I haven't sweared, not bashed (not more than you have, anyway), not any kind of chain letters or pyramids, I have abode by your rules. I hope I made my opinion clear.
If there ever comes to futher riot, I'll be by your side, Torch!

Schumacher 25-05-2000, 06:53:AM Number of points here -
1) Brann-Fan - Anarchism is a viewpoint which believes in no government, and therefore no leader. I think you mean a dictatorship... ;-)
2) Torch - You were harsh on Drinky, and were wrong for a number of reasons, as I stated in my posts in the deleted thread causing all this trouble.
3) Ric - Why do you threaten to kick Torch off the forum? I've NEVER seen you threaten any racists here with that punishment - and while Torch may have insulted Drinky, he didn't claim that his race was superior to another, as I remember happened in a very nasty little thread about the balkans a while back...
So, what am I saying? Just that we can all (that includes me, Ric, and Torch) be wrong sometimes. Ric has appologised, Torch has appologised, so there is no need for threats or insults anymore. Lets all be mature abou this and accept everybody's appologies!
