View Full Version : Leagues for fifa 2003.
Psycho666 01-07-2002, 08:37:AM wich "NEW" leagues you think should be in fifa 2003?
i think.....
argentine league
mexican league
portugues league
and some other american leagues like...
colombian, uruguay and maybe chile
what do you think?
I think They should have the Turkish League... Instead of having just one team from it{e.g. Galatasaray}. I am a fan of Galatasaray but i would like to play against other Turkish Teams; Besiktas, Fenerbache, Trabzon...etc.
TReis82 01-07-2002, 12:50:PM i think it's gotten to the point where i'm practically desprate for the Portuguese League. I'm still playing fifa 99. hahahaha
i would like to see argentina's league there to.
Skyer 01-07-2002, 04:51:PM There sould be ALL leagues. At least - all Europeans. Maybe, the most of them should be done worse, than, for example, Italy, England, but they should be. At least - correct squads and strength of the teams and players there.
And the Eurocups participators should be there not according to random counter:), but on the results of the championship.
And when computer simulates results, they should be REALISTIC. No "Lugano - Manchester 3:0" should be allowed.
Skyer 01-07-2002, 04:52:PM In that case the game will be GREAT and the best football game, which was EVER made, and many people will play it for YEARS.
This technology was greatly realised in Sensible World of Soccer.
Revivo_10 01-07-2002, 06:46:PM Two League...
Turkish League and Porteguese league...
nico2001 02-07-2002, 08:04:AM argentinian, uruguay and portuguese leagues
maybe mexico too
som3a 02-07-2002, 08:12:AM The argentine league must be included...it`s the best league in south america and much better than the brazilian one.
I`d also love to see the portugese league. And all the champion leagues in all continents like the Copa libretadores, the african league des champions, the asian super cup, etc.
nico2001 03-07-2002, 07:57:AM but I heard that the argentinian league wasn't included in fifa 2001 because AFA wanted EA to pay them for adding the leagu to the game... and that might be true I guess..
Yugoslav League
Crvena Zvezda
Partizan

Yugo Leauge Plz
:)
rememberme 03-07-2002, 01:05:PM i badly need argentine league.
Skyer 03-07-2002, 02:47:PM No, no other non-european leagues except Brazil and Argentina. MORE EUROPE!!! European football deserves much more to be in the game.
And there is one league, which MUST be in FIFA 2003:
RUSSIA.
Da_man 03-07-2002, 04:01:PM Where are the African leagues? It's been three years now and still no african leagues, it's like they don't even exist. I would really like to see the Castle Premiership, Egyptian league and the Argentine league. And I think there should be a training mode in the game where u could improve your players skills manually, like free kick specialists and be able to change set pieces they way u want them to be in a game. In other words the players can have different abilities, for instance some can master crossing the ball. some taking free kicks and so on...:(
schmeichel01 03-07-2002, 04:06:PM It is about which leagues will allow EA sports to get the license.
Portugal and Holland wanted more than the English Premier League so they were not included.
Simple as that, in the end the leagues have the choice, not EA.
If EA shelled out on portugal then all the other federations would expect the same £$£$£$ and the budget would sky rocket and FIFA 2003 will cost like £50
Now I know its not realistic but if there going to make fifa perfect all leagues and teams need to be included. We all want to see are favorite teams win the league, FA CUP,supercup and world club cup but to get all the leagues to agree on the same amount of money for gaming rights probaly wont happen. If you make games that are just based for europeans, south americans or asians then it might seem more possible.Im a fan of european football and though its great to watch the brazilian or argintinan leagues, I really dont care much if racing or boca juniors win the league. So to make a game just suited for the area might be a first step into making a game with all clubs included.:mrpimp:
oRTeGa 23 17-08-2002, 06:16:PM ýf the EA add a new league They must add teh Turkey Superr League
KLINSMANN 17-08-2002, 07:21:PM The Bosnia League! :)
saurabh 17-08-2002, 07:35:PM why this thread is in wc 2002 forum.
AhmedK 18-08-2002, 09:55:AM I think the league part of the game should be cut up into continents or confedirations like they could have a part to the americas then they have some leauge than cut it to curo and have some leauge like that in past fifas its aways been euro leauges the majority
Will there be a greek league?Or will be panathinaikos in rest of world teams?
taptone 26-08-2002, 10:00:PM yes the people want a greek league! and if not the greek league PAO should be in the game and not a team you can only play against
night 27-08-2002, 05:46:AM EA Should include:
Uefa Super cup
World Club cup
Intertoto Cup :rolleyes::crazyboy:

Or, failing that, at the very least provide the best teams in Africa (and Asia, and North/South America) in the "Rest of the World" group...teams like:
Phobia (Hearts of Oak)
ASEC Abidjan
Jeanne D'Arc
Al-Ahly
Zamalek
Esperance
Kaiser Chiefs
Orlando Pirates
Raja Casablanca
River Plate
Boca Juniors
Cruz Azul
Palmeiras
Vasco de Gama
Corinthians
America
Chivas
Rosario Central
Suwon Samsung
Kashima Antlers
Jubilo Iwata
Anyang Cheetahs
Al Hilal
Esteghlal
But wait...if the game was this good, this comprehensive...then we wouldn't have to buy next years' model would we?
See, this is the model that the corporate West uses. Instead of challenging themselves to make the very best product they can make, and then challenging themselves to do it again (well, maybe sigames approaches this, but not EA!!), they say, "Well, what "features" can we explore this year, and what OTHER enitrely different features can be substitute next year?" In other words, we must remember to quit asking for a comprehensive football experience. Until NOONE buys FIFA for one year to make a statement to EA that we want the best they can give, on an evolving platform, every single season, they will NEVER give football fans what they really deserve...
If you doubt the reasoning, ask yourself this question: What kind of game would FIFA 2003 be if the features that comprise TCM were included as a "Manager Mode" portion of an overall FIFA 2003 experience?
Now ask yourself: In whose interest is it that these two "games," while part of a sum total of a football experience, are kept separate? Is it in the fan's interest, or someone else's interest?
Of course we are left with the truth of the matter: that EA simply does not operate in our interest.
Remember your answers, and you'll continue to know why our never getting all the clubs we are supposed to get in any FIFA game is the larger issue in microcosm...
PS ---- AFA extorting EA? Then why are those same Argentine clubs appearing in TCM? Its all bull****...
sebazve 27-08-2002, 09:57:AM All the goddamn South American leagues goddamn it. So i can play Copa libertadores and then the Intercontinental.
Also African leagues should be included.
They should include leagues from contries that give a **** about football. Well here in Uruguay we live or die for our team:D (argentinian and brazilian people are just retarded as we are about football) and i think Africans had prove that they are real good at football.
They should takeout MLS. Americans they dont give a **** about it. You better stick with your boring baseball or whatever they like. They even name football "soccer" because they already have that name for another idiotic game that for instead of last about 40 mins it takes 4 hours (who knows why).

if only u knew how wrong you are . . . :kader:
if u want to discuss what should be in the game goto the respective thread, like the wishlist thread if think stuff should be, or shouldn't be included in the game.
vze4b78y 27-08-2002, 11:21:PM hey u uruguayan idiot who said mls sucks, u r a stupid motherf***er, mls is a league that started a few years ago and they improved theyre soccer a lot over those years. look at how far usa has gone in the world cup and look at uruguay, u cant say s**t about americans. and they would have gotten further if it wasnt for that great keeper oliver kahn. uruguay got knocked out in the first round haha.
SB9Dragon 28-08-2002, 04:09:AM Straight up.... u diss MLS, u gonna get slapped:hump: :rockman:

calm down, express your opinion in a less offensive way ;)
Psycho666_R_R 28-08-2002, 08:14:AM I think that theres enough european leagues in fifa. and that we should have more american leagues, so that we could play "La copa libertadores de america" and the champion of america could play the champ in Europe, these two champs could play for the "intercontinental cup" that would be another good option.
and it would make the game better.
somebody said that "MSL sucks" i think thats wrong it;s a very young league. i think we have enough of europe we need more of america, africa and maybe asia.
what do you think?
Goldfish 28-08-2002, 12:50:PM I wished the following leagues in Fifa:
-Italian
-English
-Spanish
-Portuguise
-Dutch
-German
-French
-Danish
-Swedish
-Greek
-Nationals
And a Rest of World for some other teams, then notying else! EA should center around Europe, where we play REAL soccer! Throw away MLS, K League and so on! I figure that it's all about selling the game, and hence the various irrelevant leagues, but I wished they would go in deeper with less teams and therefore get a better resoult.
Psycho666_R_R 29-08-2002, 03:03:AM i don't think thats faer . ea should include some american leagues too.
it's boring when you have to play the same legue over and over again.

muhahaha, i didnt say MLS suck. I said that most americans dont like football. Muahaha, right now Uruguay suck (totally agree) but you know something about our history right? we will get there again eventually. Also the only team that gives you a hard time is Mexico and thats about it. Try with the big boys. but oh well...
Face it football in USA is not popular.
hmm, world cup 2002 oh well another story, this cup sucked so much, yeah right Korea at semifinal
This world cup got so **** up but those stupid referres

Trust me, Football is reasonably popular in the USA, it might not be the primary sport but that doesn't meant jack.
these arguments occur all the time with people saying their country is better and there for it should have more leagues bla bla . .
this argument is finished, if it arises again the thread will be closed. there is a wishlist thread, if u think your league/s should be in the game say it there . .

for one you are a f***ing idiot, with what knowledge are you talking trash about uruguay, do you even know the history of the world cup, do you know who won the first one? URUGUAY! so stop talking **** about them, plus, anyone can have a bad show in the world cup, the USA got lucky into having easy ass matches during the world cup 2002, and they got far by luck, they are getting better, but they still arent a world class team to be competing vs. the great ones
Hercules 15-12-2002, 01:57:AM USA are no way as good as the World Cup competition suggests, just like many smaller footballing nations, such as Senegal, South Korea, since they did well, due to a few factors:
1. Other teams playing badly
2. A certain element of luck (but all teams need it)
3. The world cup venue was in a unfamiliar location (Korea/Japan), neither Europe or the Americas, and as past tournaments have suggested, most European teams are not extremely well-adapted to the weather conditions (e.g. too hot...) and the South American teams usually do not do very well, travelling outside their own countries. This can be seen by the many great home records for all the nations, like even Peru can be quite strong plaing at home, because of the altitude! So, it is upto the smaller teams to take advantage of the slightly unfamiliar conditions that might put quite a few 'bigger' footballing teams off, and thus led to some shocks in the World Cup.
But having said that, you CANNOT be a poor side and reach the quarter or even semi finals of the World Cup. But some teams are overrated, if you only take the performances from the World Cup.
And a perfect example is: Is Netherlands worst than Saudi Arabia?
So, you CANNOT take the World Cup performances as the ONLY measurement of how good a team is.
And back to FIFA, I think EA got it right in choosing only the MLS, and not the other leagues, because MLS is the most advertised leagues in the whole North & South America. What I mean by that is MLS has the largest buying population. Also, the games can sell at a much higher price in the US than in let's say Mexico. And you cannot expect that many ppl in the US to buy the game if MLS isn't in it. And you have to remember EA don't only want to target football fanatics, like you and me, they want ppl who are beginners at the sport to play the game, and begin to like it.
It's all down to marketing strategy.
And even if EA put the Argentine league in, would it be as good as the stuff that Soccer Access are doing? Definitely not. They would probably make it as fashionable as the Swiss league, knowing EA.
SantaClaus 15-12-2002, 02:07:AM Hercules is right if mexico would develop an economy and people could actually buy the game there then they would be put in. Money talks.
EA don't waste disk space with south american leagues instead refine the leagues you already have, add ALL the stadiums with weather effects, and banners, instead of doing a half ass job on 20 different leagues. Then if you want to add leagues add the Dutch.
I dont give a rats ass either about if boca juniors wins or that other team.
