I was seaching through that thread about BORED ON THE INTERNET, so I started this thread cuz I seen some guy talking about Modems :D
Anywayz......... back to the topic!
I have cable internet connection :D Uncapped now! Used to be 512k but then they uncapped it! REALLY, REALLY FAST! I LOVE!!!! playing games and downloading stuff cuz it is so DAMN quick!!!

My cuz at uni down south, they have a 10megper second modem and like he downloads movies games anything and just puts them on cd's :D

That means that it has NO LIMIT!
My modem is faster than 10mb a second, trust me!
It is UNCAPPED!! It just goes faster and faster every second! :D

Yeah, I know what it is. And do you know that my ISP can easily detect me if I uncapped my modem?
Anyway, I have a cable connection and I'm very pissed off. VERY VERY VERY PISSED OFF.:mad:
I have a 1GB international limitation, but I used a proxy from a big national company to disguise my dlds as national.:D
It was cool because I was both cheating my ISP (who are total wanks and treat customers like sh!t bcs they have the whole cable monopoly), and I was also helping to destroy capitalism by cheating a huge enterprise. :D
Well, yesterday my ISP BLOCKED access to all proxies. I'm not even sure if that's legal, but they did it.:mad:
Any ideas?
Well Twiggie,
all i can say is dont get caught cos everyone in the UK who has done this gets caught and fined.
Secondly unless ure running through a router, I know not of a cable modem that can reach 10mb/s but 10Mb/s is understandable.
At SG we run a few OC3 servers and I myself own (thanks Dad) private oc 48 servers.
In about a year i'll be starting uni wahay come on JANET connection which is the fastest in the UK as its a national backbone for most uni's

Mine usually downloads at about 2 - 3 MB per second. Supposedly up to 10 MB...

We actually RANG Telstra (our cable provider), and they told us how to uncap the connection! So we had permission from them to uncap it! So we aren't gunna get fined! :D
We got a 3 gig limit and it sucks cuz we almost go over every month (even though we don't download that much) I think that Telstra are screwing us around... :rolleyes:

dont get too excited anybody in the US has no bandwidth limit on a cable connection :mambo:
i used to get downloads up to 150 kbs but recently they fixed it coz supposedly it shud of been faster... now I get about 300 kbs (or faster) depending on the server i am downloading from. Enuff for me :)

I have a 56K connection at Xnet, and the best thing is that I don't have to pay anything, in november I will have a cable connection that costs 36$/monts and the download limit is over 1Gb/month :D

dude that is not much, most end up as temporary internet files.
Everytime I load a page it loads the whole page not a cached page like 95% of people, I have to do this so I know if my site is down, or my computer is accessing cache.
