I don't think manu will buy Crespo, because he is overated and they already have a better goal scorer in Van Nistelrooy. They will not get Thuram or Nesta. Nesta will not leave Italy, just like all good Italians don't, But I don't think he is gonna win anything special in Italy apart from serie A. If Manu buy a defender it will be Ferdinand I think.

They want to sell Veron, but I don't think nowone is interested in him, manu will have to stick him on the bench.

United might lose Veron anyway, that whole passport thing is threatening to flare up again. The press said something about Lazio being willing to take him on.

i read at planetfootball.com lopez and sorin would go to Manu with veron going the opposite way. this is supposed to have been confirmed by said by lopez himself. i'm sure there will be a denial soon. but if it is true i think it's a good deal.
also recber says hehas offers from english clubs and he's ambitious. here the reference might be to Arse or Manu. If it's manu then i'm happy with this transfer as well, that is only if it happens.

Out of these lot I can only see the Yorkie transfer going through.

Although I would love to see Nesta and Ronaldinho come to United, I would be very surprised if they do join. Nesta will follow the Italian tradition of staying at home, and Ronaldinho is unlikely to go to England (Inter, maybe?). I don't want to see Crespo for United as Ruud is a superior striker, and what United need is a second forward instead of another out-and-out striker.
Barthez has been a joker all last season but there really isn't anybody else who can replace him at the moment. Roy Keane will not leave United until his contract expires and despite all his controversy during the World Cup he is still the skipper at the club.

To day i read manu, aston villa and arse are interested in gilberto silva. lots of brazilians linked with manu this season - ronaldo, ronaldinho, rivaldo, r. carlos, cafu and gilberto silva.:D

Of late i heard juve and inter have opted out of the race 4 nesta. both have agreed among each other not to dish out more than 18m. 4 nesta. again lazio want zanetti/davids as part of the deal with the respective clubs. this isn't working out obviously.
so either nesta would be taken off the transfer market or he may come to manu 4 around 25m pounds.

Gilberto Silva would be an awsome signing, he played the most unselfish role in the Brazilian team, when players had pushed up, he was always back to cover and clear up any trouble
