Like it says in the thread title. I lost to Ancona in the Italian Cup. WHy? I dunno but my tactics don't seem to get workin so far with inter. Here's the normali lineup that I use (for the last three games): Toldo: Simic, Materazzi(SW), I. Cordoba;J. Zanetti as DMC, J. Zanetti as DMR with runs forward as high as possible, and Georgatos who has been one of the better players so far in my season(if that's at all possible) as DML with runs forward. Conceicao plays as AMC, Sukur Rf, Vieri, CF, and Ronaldo LF. Now, I'm like in the 12th game in the Italian League, I'm like 7th, ronaldo has only scored one goal in official competition, and I'm gettin lacklustre results like 1-0 victories over teams like Lecce.

now none of them are starters yet, cuz I'm trying to bring them up closely, yet Matinez and Montecinos had their 1st start against Ancona, and there we lost. Oh yeah, we were 2-0 up with 15 minutes left. I'm startin believe that I ain't good enough of a manager of Cm. Is that it, or there's a way to salvage this situation before I get fired?
Yes since I read so much about'em I tried to sign both Nikiforenko and TO Madeira.
Nikiforenko wanted to end this season to look at his future.
To MAdeira's club was not willin to do business cuz they had just signed him.

I've just startes an Inter game, and i am top of Serie A, and i think it is down to the tactics i use. I play 5-3-2, and my line up is:

GK- Toldo
DC- Cordoba
DC- Materazzi
DC- Simic
DML- Ze Roberto (12m from Leverkusen)
DMR- Zanetti
MC-Emre
MC- Seedorf
MC- Conceicao
SC- Ronaldo
SC - Vieri

In Zanetti you have one of, if not the best DMR in the game so it makes sense to use him.
I need to improve my defense as Materazzi is a bit dodgy, but i think this tactic is very effective with Inter.
give it a go, and tell us how it goes!
ps Christiano Zanetti is not good, so if you are gonna play a DMC i would look to get a better one!

Ever since you gave me your tactic I've played aroun 9 games. I've looked a big stronger. I've only lost to 1st place lazio. and aslo the first game when I used this tactic to atalanta 4-1. But I seem to be gettin lower scorin games now. Has the computer cracked the tactic yet? I figured not cuz you've been usin this tactic for a rather longer time than me, haven't u? I've sold sukur, seedorf, ronaldo to raise cash, bought roni(flumi, brazil) quico dominguez (velez, arg) pijanovic (RS Belgrade)shatiskik (dymnmo Kiev)Branko Boskovic and some other yugoslavian dude.
Will try to buy nikiforenko at the end of this season.
But anysuggestions you can gimme they'll be welcomed.

£30 milion for Ronaldo is great business as the guy is always crap for me.
Losing 4-1 to Atalanta is one of those things, they have a great youth setup and have some great players so i wouldnt worry to much bout that!
If i were you, i would use some of the Ronaldo money to get Emile Mpenza, arguably the best Striker on the game, guarenteed 30 goals a season man and a snip at under £ 20 million.
Just keep the tactics as they seem to be working for you, and the longer you keep them the more affective they will become as your team will get used to rhem.

ps. I doubt the Computer has cracked your tactic that early in the game and in my experience, the best players to be set as playmakers are AMC, as they are more likely to be in the positions that need a creative player!
