Internazionale 13-07-2002, 12:29:AM I thought Great Britain didn't exist in the International Rugby League.
Do they have England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland teams just like in soccer national teams?

I didn't think they existed, but then again, i don't give a sh!t about rugby:D egg chasers:p
Yeah in Rugby League, Great Britain play tests, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, and England play world cups.
It was a bit of a suprise that scoreline really. Australia have been the best team for ages, but really that scoreline still came as a shock considering that GB took us to a decider in the 3 match series held in britain only about 6months ago..
It was really a bit dissapointing, and not too good for world rugby league if u ask me...
But when u look at it, only two counties play league in britain anyway! Yorkshire, and i think Lancashire or something is the other..

Yeah the ANZAC's or something :p
WE'd be unbeatable!
Seriously though, technically, the NATION is: "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland"
Great Britain refers to the main island of the British Islands, its countries, and their territories, plus Northern Ireland of course is still a British 'State', rather than a republic (ie. Republic of Ireland).
So they really should be allowed to play as the UK/British Lions if they want, but than again, maybe players from the Rep. of Ireland shouldnt be allowed in it (they are currently, because Ireland plays as one nation in Rugby, so if they only allowed Northern Irish in the British team, than some players from the Irish team would be eligible, and some not, making it very confusing!)
Cheers
