Birmingham City have nearly completed a £3.3m deal for Panathonikos and Polish international Emmanue Olisadebe. . Olisadebe has reportedly agreed a four-year contract worth around £9,000 a week
Olisadebe indicated he would jump at the chance to join the Blues earlier this week and said: "I have always wanted to play for an English club.
"I am very excited about the prospect of playing in England and for Birmingham City. Who wouldn't be?
"I will start with Birmingham and then who knows, if I play well I could end up at a bigger club."
Well i think this is a good signing for Birmingham and could possibly form a partnership with the ever improving Stern John.

He hasn't signed yet. We'll see about that.
Olisadebe is an excellent player. He showed his ability in the World Cup despite his teammates shortcomings and should be a hit. I just hope he has the service at Birmingham, though.

"Emmanuel Olisadebe has passed a medical at
Birmingham City and is on the brink of signing a four-year
contract, according to Hyder Jawad in today's Birmingham Post.
The Poland international striker should secure his move from
Panathinaikos to St. Andrew's over the weekend for a fee of
around £4 million - subject to the successful application for
a work permit, writes Jawad.
Olisadebe has been in England discussing terms with Steve
Bruce and club officials. Talks are said to have gone well
with both parties seemingly happy to proceed.
A source in Greece has stated that Olisadebe's departure from
Panathinaikos is inevitable and that the player is keen to
play a part in Birmingham's first season in the Barclaycard
Premiership.
"Emmanuel Olisadebe will become a Birmingham City player this
weekend," the source said.
"He will fulfil his dream of playing in England but will leave
Panathinaikos with much regret.
"He will need a work permit and the approval of the board at
Birmingham City, but these are formalities."
David Sullivan today revealed the stark financial reasons why
Bruce will not be allowed to sign both Olisadebe and Clinton
Morrison, writes Colin Tattum in tonight's Evening Mail.
The Blues co-owner said the club was "hurting" and would go £9
million into the red should the manager add either to his
squad.
"We are really hurting at the moment," said Sullivan.
"Another player in will take us £8 million to £9 million
overdrawn next summer and we don't want to go down that alley.
"If worst comes to the worst and we get relegated, we don't
want to be in a position where we have to dump players, like
Leicester and Coventry.
"All the TV money from the Premier League, the season ticket
sales, income from commercial - it's gone.
"We have already shelled out millions on new players and
wages, and then there were the bonuses for promotion.
"The only way Steve might get both is if he sold somebody."

Clinton Morrison is a good player, he is young and has already played for his country(Rep. of Ireland)
