eric8888 15-07-2002, 10:07:AM hi.....
i have a question here...
tried the WE6 patch and successfully managed to burn the cd...
enjoying the english menus now when i play WE 6....
but i would like to find out where i could find a patch that updates the names of all the players to english....
and one more question....how do i patch the CD to include the
players' names in english ??
thanks so much
eric :)

You don't need a patch for this, simply go into "modify player" in the edit section, select each and every team and press triangle, you will be asked to reset the whole team, say yes, and the names should be "latin". :)
eric8888 16-07-2002, 04:29:AM hi, i already modifed the names like you said....
but i noticed that the names came out in english...not latin..
is this because i downloaded the english patch and not the italian patch??
was the modification of the names due to the patch or was
it already done by the japanese programmers in the
orginal japanese DVD game??
if i tried to do this on the original WE 6 DVD, will it work ??
once again.... a lot of thanks to AnaMorph0s|s ......
it is people like AnaMorph0s|s that makes this forum
so damn helpful!!!!!
thanks again...

AnaMorph0s|s 16-07-2002, 08:29:PM No problemo dude. :)
With "latin" I meant latin letters instead of the japanese katakana letters. The English names was due to Rhapsody's patch, so nope, it wouldn't work on the original. :)
Spike 31-07-2002, 10:08:PM I am playing the game without the English menu patch, but I was still hoping to change the names into "latin". Would anyone be able to guide me through the menus in order to do so? I have figured out where the EDit menu is, but I am not sure which entry is "modify player" After that I have no clue how to select every team and then reset the names. please help!
keyman 31-07-2002, 10:30:PM Under the edit menu, the first selection is "Modify Player." If you select that, you'll be brought to a screen where you have to first choose the team that you want to modify. Select your team and then select your player. You'll come to a screen that has several options on the left, the player in the middle, and the player's abillities on the right. The first option should allow you to edit the name. The next screen will have the player on the left, and on the right of the screen has a section with all of the characters you can choose from. Two options beneath the word "OK" is a two character Japanese word that should be greyed out. Select it and you'll be able to edit the player's name using English.
Hope this is clear!
Spike 01-08-2002, 12:04:AM thanks so much. . .it works. Now I'll just have to edit all of the names, and hopefully figure out the proper way to save it. any hints on that one??
keyman 01-08-2002, 12:29:AM No sweat.
In the modify player screen (the screen with options on the left, player in the middle, and attributes to the right) there are two "batches" of options on the left of the screen. The top "batch" has six different options and the bottom "batch" has three. Well, the first option on the botton batch is the save player option.
After you get out of that screen, you go back to the main edit menu. The third option from the botton is the memory card option. Selecting that will take you to a menu with a few more options. The third from the top should be the save-to-memory-card option.
I hope all of that is correct... (I'm trying to do this from memory!)
