Recently I've read two FIFA 2000 previews. One is from Gamespot.co.uk, here is a fragment of it:
"As such, anyone looking for a brand new game in FIFA 2000 is sadly misguided. What we have here is a development of the original World Cup engine: a similar game structure (with domestic leagues as well as international sides, of course), in-game formation management, variable gameplay speeds, lots of animated moves and an array of camera angles."
The second one comes from PCZone.co.uk and says something totally different :
"Those weary of yet another update should reconsider their apathy, because the new 3D engine is set to cause quite a stir, with a wealth of innovative trickery on show."

WHICH ONE OF THEM IS TRUE???????????

What you have here AdamN, is the opinion of two different people who have separately written previews of FIFA 2000. This is not two sets of information released by EA Sports. As I'm sure you know, two people can watch the same event and come away with two completely different idea's of what they saw. I think this is what happened here.

In the end, you will decide for yourself if FIFA 2000 is improved over past versions. From most of what I gather at this point, I think it will be. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

I hope so too, on the other hand FIFA is still the best soccer game ever made so I think I will buy it anyway
