I'm new here & I hope you all will support me.Here are my comments about the improvements should be done about goalies in FIFA 2000.
1. On a sunny day, the goalie may wear a cap.
2. Some goalies wear short sleeve jersey (like J.Campos, etc).
3. Goalies should just stand & watch at balls that looks impossible (or too far) to catch or parry.
4. Some goalies (like J.Chilavert) should be able to punt longer kicks and also take free kicks well.
5. Goalies might get injured (broken arm, etc) after making an almost impossible save or when grabbing the ball from the feet of the attacker during one-on-one situations.
6. Goalies might dive and knock onto the goal post and get injured.
7. When controlling the goalie, we can press some sort of button to make the keeper bounce the ball or fake a throw.
8. FIFA 99 goalies are almost invincible. They should not catch those hard kickin' shots but parry them. They should also sometimes loose the ball after a hard, straight shot at them and then catch the ball before the opponents could intercept.
9. Goal posts should be wider. In reality compared to FIFA 99, the goalies look as if they are goal keeping an elementary school goal post.
10. During penalty kicks, goalies dont dive the top corner deliberately but only push themselves left or right and if they guessed right, then they will put a hand either up or down. So during penalties, controllers only have to press left, right, or neither (to just stand) and the keeper automaticly puts a hand towards the ball depending on their abilities.
11. Goalies must always face the ball including when diving the wrong way during penalties, after parrying the ball, or when rounded by the opponent. (FIFA 99 goalies keep their eyes at the imginaly ball when diving the wrong way, when picking himself up.
12. A button to make the go forward into the opponent's box during a free kick or corner to help the attack during the final minutes of a big game which seems to be lost (ex. P.Shmeichel have ever scored like this).
13. Goalies should be very dirty after diving during a wet match.
14. Goalies should rush out earlier than in FIFA 99 as goalies are quite vurnable to chips in reality.
