I have FIFA Soccer 2002 on PS2 and love it - but is there a way to play in the actual WORLD CUP? I've received every player card and beaten every tourney but cannot find a way to unlock it - if it is even there. Forgive me for the noob question, but the search function is giving me trouble... :mad:

So if anyone can pass on some info it'd be GREATLY appreciated. I'm on the verge of just buying FIFA World Cup (which is probably my only option if I want to play the actual Cup), but would like to know first if it's possible to play it in FIFA Soccer 2002...

Lastly, if I cannot unlock it - is FIFA World Cup 2002 any better? Is the gameplay different? Can I load my old settings onto the newer game? Thanks in advance! I'll owe you one!

No you can not play the WC in Fifa 2002 and no you can not copy settings to WC 2002.

What's a comparable or better soccer game than FIFA WC 2002? I'd like to know my other options! Important stipulation: It has to be actually FEASIBLE for me to get a hold of here in the United States.

Please let me know I'm dying to upgrade from FIFA Soccer 2002 (Ps2)...:(

Well for the PS2 you can check out World Tour Soccer and David Beckham soccer should be out in August as well so you might want to check them out.

I guess my only option at the moment is to go with FIFA WC 2k2 - being that I've never seen (but will search for) World Tour Soccer. Is the gameplay in FIFA WC 2k2 different at all (as opposed to FIFA Soccer 2k2)? Did they bring back the spin? All I've heard (and would be expected) is the graphics are a bit better.

Yes the gameplay is different but i don't know if it is better or not. I really don't think you should get WC 2002 because all that is in there is the WC so after you win the cup there really is no replay value. I would see if you can find World Tour Soccer or wait till August and see what Beckham is like.

go and rent/buy World Tour Soccer... graphics ain't as good as Fifa but game play is way better in MY opinion....

you kan also edit up to 40 clubs..!!!
you can also have diffrent profiles for instance in one profile i created the Argentinean League!!! in another profile i edited exsisting teams like the ones i just mentioned.. in another profile i added more 2nd division team from Belgium,Italy,Portugal,Spain,Holland,Germany,Scotl
and!! and was able to make my own 2nd division Tournaments!!!

the bad thing is you can't buy players in the middle of the season and if you want to replace the player with another you actually delete the other player witch sucks... but you kan replace player in the National team... anyway another bad thing is no logos on the player kits....
