Wow! how good is F.A.PLFM2000!!! The 3D engine is so sweet, with commentary that kicks FIFA2k's arse. I was wondering if anyother PLFM players out there could tell me a few things-
a) Whats a good price to set the SEASON tickets at? (300 pounds?).
b) Are there any Forums or Websites other than the (not so helpfull E.A site (suprise suprise http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif).

F.A. Premier League Manager 2000 is a very good game... but did you know that some of us like to kick the ball on the pitch?
So don't "screw fifa 2000" but buy a copy of F.A.P.L.Manager 2000.......

Fifa 2000 is a waste of money and time, i dont like it my mates dont like it .. noone ever plays it! what a waste of money it was. FAPLM 2000 was HALF the price of fifa 2000 and i havnt stoped playing it FOR DAYS NOW!
My 3d card actually overheated for the first time ever (& im a serious quake2/hl nut).
So yes! im saying SCREW! Fifa 2000 its a peice of CRAP! if you want a game that will give your gamepad a workout TRY any other game except FIFA 2000.
Why isnt there a FAPLM 2000 forum so we can avoid talking ABOUT FIFA 2000 all together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you nuts? Mad? Insane??? I can't believe I wasted my own hard-earned on FAPLM2K. Player values are unrealistic, the 3D match engine is a garish nightmare, my own strikers cleared the ball off the opposition line, players can control the ball with their arse after having run past it, teams are unbalanced, research is bad, the interface is sheer nonsense, the stadium management bit is totally unecessary and out of place in a _management_ game, results are unrealistic (Barcelona drawing with Dinamo Tblisi?!?!?), the cup draws are moronic (The top two people from each Champions League group always play in the same group for the next stage), the board will let you spend as much as you like on wages, then sack you if it breaks the limit, established Premier League players will happily join Division 3 clubs on loan (I got Izzet at Cheltenham). . . and these are the obvious problems. If you're wondering why its at half price, my hunch is that
1) EA realised that this game is monumentally poor
and
2) EA know that an infinitely better game is launching on Friday at the same price point (£19.99 in the UK).
If you see this game, don't buy it. A waste of a license and of EA's brand name. It stinks. I've since sold my copy to a 'friend' for £10.

C'mon, F.A. Premier League Manager 2000 isn't that bad ( I have seen worst games of that kind for much more money)... of course that it could be a lot better- like most of the recent EA products, but I have to say that nothing- and I mean nothing on the know and unknow universe- can beat CM3 as a management game.
Pity that We can't control the team on the pitch...

Try playing the new CM99/00 demo - then you will see what a good footy management game is. Realistic, and not concerned with putting nice rippling logos in the corner and making laughable match simulations. Just good honest realism.
