Armed with an 'ALL NEW game engine' (their capitals), EA Sports are once again promising to address the gameplay problems that seem to bedevil the FIFA series. Crucially, developers EA Canada have spruced up the ball physics and after playing the game at EA's UK press event yesterday, we can attest to the massively improved feel when dribbling and, most importantly, passing, although at this stage vaporous defences are still in place.

As ever, though, it's the license that will sell the game this Christmas with over 175 licensed 'entities' - including 16 leagues, 450 teams and 10,000 professional players. You'll probably find Exeter City's much maligned 1974 under-11s secon team in there somewhere. Confirmation of this and more details soon...

EA Sports' uber-franchise is due to hit every format this November.

I'll sure buy this game!

I excpect that this time EA includes the Argentinean League, and... the kits seem to be 3GK or 2GK...
NICE!

I think the kits and the stadiums looks great.. The kit textures seem detailed. I'm glad EA finally put the correct goalkeeper kits as well. I wonder if the fsh structure will be more in the line of the 3gk way. I'm interested in finding out how the goalkeeper's are assigned to each team. Maybe their is a gk.big like the kit.big where each league is broken down with each assigned gk.fsh
The kit quality is very good along the line of wc 2002 but I'm sure the kit editors can do a better job.:)
I also want to see some screens of other stadiums. That would be cool. The WC stadiums were excellent so I am anxious to see what EA offers us in the line of league stadiums. Since I am a visual guy I'm into the graphics and textures and stuff. I like to edit the visual. :D So I'm looking forward to this edition. :D

Actually, I think EA should add more different types of attributes (e.g. shot accuracy, shot power, shooting range, agility... jumping...creativity)

Also... the fatigue thing is really crucial... I don't wanna see the star players getting tired before the weak players...

I hope the creativity does make crucial difference between star players and normal players...

(e.g. Rui Costa can make more through pass than Sol Campbell)

I don`t belive the ball is finished it would be really nice if the ball would have a glow on it just like in real life

Who cares about the damn graphics... They just need to make a Game that has some kind of lasting appeal.

I hope it is a good game... but I have no faith.

Then why not run WE 2002 using a PSone emulator ;)

::..Federico Debla..::
27-08-2002, 04:47:PM
hehe... that'd be good... but it's hard to get the best emulator for the PC that each one of us own...
and btw, I think that you'll never get the same graphics as the PES have in Playstation...

please let me know if you find a good emulator, and where can I download the PES..

thank you.

see ya!

Fede,

I am actually reply to furious George who said "Who cares about the damn graphics.."
So i'm sure he doesn't mind play PSone's winning eleven 2002.

I am running WE 2002 on epsxe (www.epsxe.com). Of course, the graphics is not as amazing as PES but it looks a lot better if you configure it properly.

Here's a screenshot i took myself, and resized to 640x480 res.

You have to highlight the link below, right click and select copy, then paste it into the url.

winning eleven 2002 is about the same as winning eleven 6 in PS2. They have the same CD cover.....
The controls like one-two is different though.

Winning eleven 2002 is much more difficult than the ones before which is a good thing coz it gets boring when you keep winning in hard mode.
