I've spent a lot of time figuring out how to get WE6 running with an English patch with help from people on this forum, and I know others have as well.
I wanted to "give back" a little knowledge so I put together a web page detailing how I created my patched CD and how I used the knife-trick to play WE6. Take a look at http://winning_eleven_6.tripod.com for more info. The page is long (14 pages printed out) and has a lot of diagrams, screen shots and photos (2.5 MB) so the main page allows you to either view the actual page, or download a zip archive of the page with its gfx for viewing/printing offline.
I'm hoping this takes care of all the "how do I do the knife trick" and "how do I patch WE6" questions on the forum. If those types of questions can be answered by this page, that's great. More people will play WE6 and we'll have better discussions on the forum.
Also, a couple bonus goodies are on the page, like a photo of the alternate WE6 DVD case cover . . .
Cheers
