Ok, not really a graphics question, but sorta related:

Has anyone here tried using Dreamweaver MX yet? It's supposed to have more user-friendly new features, and a fully customizable new interface...I've been using Dreamweaver 4 for a while now and think it's great, so I'm just wondering if it's worth upgrading to MX?

No way, the time a program like Dreamweaver saves you is unbeatable! I agree, that to design a website, even if you use a wysiwyg type program you should have basic html knowledge, but to code entirely in notepad is a waste of valuable time....and don't say you can design a site faster with notepad because you'd have to be able to type like 500 words a minute. Unless ofcourse you copy and paste all your code, hehe.. :monkey:

yup.
Notepad is good for the codes.
While Dreamweaver is good for both codes and designing....
With this, you can easily intergrate HTML with PHP and all the other stuffs....Same like Frontpage but it is rather 'childish'.

As a conclusion, Dreamweaver gets the title for the best webdesigning software. But since Dreamweaver MX is out, It is 10x SUPERB............

You all must try it

Yeah, I think I will give it a try...I just hope it's better than Flash MX, which seemed ok at the start, but I ended up going back to Flash 5, I just found there was a lot of useless features in MX..

I am technically not using this forum, but whatever,

Shinji I am using Dreamweaver MX, it is ace, it does not make the stupid html tags that Micro$hite Frontpage does. It allows you to create WYISWYG pages in ASP, PHP, JS and HTML. depending on the type of page you are making it uses the correct codes for includes, cookies etc...

It ties in well with fireworks and flash.

Talk to me at the Soccered Forum for more.
