Leeds United have agreed a fee of £2.75 million with Liverpool FC for midfielder Nicky Barmby - and Elland Road chairman Peter Ridsdale has told Sky Sports that there are more signings to come.

Liverpool have given Leeds permission to speak to the player, who will travel to Yorkshire on Tuesday evening for talks and a medical, which will take place on Wednesday.

If all goes to plan, Barmby should be unveiled as Terry Venables' first Elland Road signing later this week, and there could be two more new arrivals before the start of the season.
