I haven't really heard anything aside from rumors. Sol would be a nice addition to the squad, but Wes Brown is almost ready to make his comeback, so I think the great addition to the defence will be Wes, and of course Barthez who will make some fabulous saves this season.

Sol Campbell won't move until next June, when his contract runs out.

I heard that Sol is ready to sit down with Spurs management and negotiate a new contract.

Nimreitz,
You are absolutely correct! George Graham & co. will meet with him within the next two weeks to discuss extending his contract. He is definately staying until next summer.
As a Spurs fan, I really hope that we sign 1 or two star midfielders! I really think that we'll have a good season this time round. Sullivan looks to be on top form, while Thatcher, Carr, Perry and ofcourse Campbell will make a tight defence. I'm a little bit worried about our midfield. Sherwood has been looking impressive while Leonhardsen and Freund have been looking good. Our attack is great; Rebrov, Iversen, Ferdinand and Armstrong!
GO SPURS!!!!!!!

Spurs fans, if Man U offered 20+ million pounds for Cambell would you accept?
As for Wes Brown - er...is it just me or is this guy just a little overrated - I mean he's a great prospect but he's only played 1/2 a season and people talk about his return as if he's one of the best defenders in the league. IMO United should buy Ugo Ehiogu from Villa - he's half the price of Sol, incredibly underrated and he's just as good Sol (if not better). Heck, if United want to splash out 15-20 million why don't they go buy Nesta or Cannavaro - oh wait a sec...why am I complaining....no Ronny Jonssen should do fine http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
[Also for the upcoming season, watch out for Ledley King for Spurs who in my opinion will surely kick Perry out of the starting eleven towards the end of the season!]

yeah, Man United really need Sol Campbell. There defense just plain sucks. I mean the terrible Jaap Stam just clutters things up. And with two terrible young partners in the center like Brown and Johnsen, Man United should fork out the money, because its not like they can win the title without him.

Jaap Stam sucks? You must be joking - he's one of the best central defenders in Europe, and I hate Manchester United.
And Ronny Jonssen isn't young - he's 31.
Or were u just being sarcastic? I dunno http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
