Dreath 22-06-2005, 01:55:PM This is how I feel about the Aussies getting their asses caned....... :lui:
At least we as West Indian can say we weren't soundly beaten by Bangladesh of all teams.:amika:
Aye. But did you download that catch? That's got to be one of the best ever.
manutd4eva 22-06-2005, 06:27:PM Yea, that's a great catch. Saw him took a couple like that against the West Indies last year. One here in the West Indies and one in England. He an excellent feilder in that position it must be said.

pullstones_jr 17-07-2005, 07:47:AM As a west indian, i HATE the West Indies cricket board. They always screw us fans hard up the ass repeatedly when it comes to tours.. i mean just look at the team thats playing sri lanka. They hav about 5 debutants!
India won by 6 wickets. :rockman: :rockman: against West Indies.
pullstones_jr 05-08-2005, 06:56:AM Ah well. Well see in the next game!
Dhruv 08-08-2005, 05:39:PM yeah india won and i hope out of the 4 top batsmen (sehwag, laxman, dravid and ganguly) atleast 2 score some runs...
We r in the finals but its hard to beat Sri Lanka.
Dhruv 09-08-2005, 07:30:PM yeah india won and i hope out of the 4 top batsmen (sehwag, laxman, dravid and ganguly) atleast 2 score some runs...
guess what ! sehwag, dravid and ganguly scored some runs and still LOST !!!
guess what ! sehwag, dravid and ganguly scored some runs and still LOST !!!
i thiink our batting was good enough, its just that our bowling sucked. :sb9:
Dhruv 10-08-2005, 01:27:PM still dude...they were always in the hunt...until dravid got out and suddenly everything fell apart, they are low on confidence...
Yea, thats true, after Dravid there is no one that we can trust on
Yuvraj, Kaif, and Irfan dont play as good as they should in the middle order, although Irfan is a good bowler.
Dhruv 11-08-2005, 07:06:PM i cant understand that how the hell west indies managed to beat sri lanka and that we couldnt and yet they couldnt make it to the final...
india in past few years have never been able to beat sri lanka...they should seriously start thinking about it ....
Our team players have very low confidence in themselves, even before the match starts they come to the field as if they are ready to lose, although for certain teams they play like West Indies they have this positive view that they know they r going to win but when they come on field to play Srilanka, Australia and Pakistan they get nervous and thats why we lose.
So what does everyone in Australia think should be done? Drastic changes dont need to be made, we just under performed, HOWEVER, if we want to be competitive in more then 1-2 years time changes DO need to be made...
I think Phil Jaques from NSW is a MUST. He averages mid fifties in first class cricket, and is much younger then Hodge, and the Husseys...Any other players anyone can think of? In test matches, I also think Shane Watson could almost get in for his batting alone. Look at his first class average! Also consider the Waugh brothers were blooded as allrounders, I think Watson will end up as a test batsmen who can bowl....I dont think he is a brilliant one day player, but could be handy...Not sure about other changes. Haddin will step in for Gilchrist, and NEVER be as good, but not a bad replacement, and that wont happen til the time is right...
Replacing batsmen isnt what I am worried about Alex, as you can have a formidable batting lineup without any standup batsmen, however how the hell will we replace 1100+ test wickets? (Warne, McGrath) that is what worries me the most.
As for India, i am worried who will replace the great Legend Sachin Tendulkar, he is having fitness problems.
India had a comfortable victory against Zim. :rockman:
Vagegast 17-09-2005, 06:13:AM we played in school today, i was 700 not out

I dont think we need to worry abt tht...we have already lost "Sachin" IMO..hes just a shadow of his former self now...not dominating as he was bfore...
Think he shud come back..break a few records..try to slam bowlers as much he can..and then retire...and try out youngsters in his place if he cant play..
Dropping Martyn was silly..scapegoat the poor guy...ahh well..

What a f*cked up squad ICC World XI has. :kader: :kader:
I dunno, the side was voted for on Cricinfo and it was basically the same side that came up...Remember this was before the ashes, and you cant just base the side on one series.
What changes would you make if its such a bad squad??

5 openers?.......http://redcafe.net/images/smilies/houllier.gif
celtic_bhoy 29-09-2005, 06:03:AM Solanki?
bit of indian bias there no doubt, because he is sh!te
jesus christ they must be short on the ground.
TROD.
5 openers r the best, they can beat the crap out of the ball, better than the one who plays in 2nd, 3rd................down. You can never trust those players, they r like broken condoms.
manutd4eva 29-09-2005, 06:35:PM OK, let's play 5 openers, 5 specialist bowlers, and a keeper.
Can never trust them. Broken condoms.

If you honestly believe that, you are a tool who has no idea about cricket.

Bradman batted at 3rd.

[b]England blown away by rampant Pakistan[\b]
Pakistan 274 and 341 beat England 418 and 175 (Kaneria 4-62) by 22 runs
But the day belonged to Pakistan who thoroughly deserved their victory. After coming up on the outside for the best part of two days, their bowlers cemented a solid position on the final morning, taking six wickets to reduce England from 64 for 1 to 117 for 7.
