1) Basturk low cross (3 taps on O), met by a sliding Camara, one time a shot in the lower left hand corner
2) Morale hammer a shot from 8 yrd box from a tight angle, hit the under side of cross bar and land on the goal line, Brdaric’s rebound hit the keeper’s foot, it rolled to a defender and he scored an own goal.

GK Jorg Butt – Nothing fancy, reliable and consistent

CB Lucio – Paid 4K plus transfer fee to pry him from Real Madrid, a lot is expected from him. Set him as CB overlap guy. Recently scored a stunning low drive from edge of box
CB Jens Nowotny – Courted him every year since the inaugural season in ML. Refused to join until Leverkusen promoted to D1. Signed him on for 290pt per season for 5 year. Had rejected my offer @ 400pt before in lower division. Surprised to find him still as Free agent after 7 seasons, what a thick neck.
CB Edmilson – A player much better than his stat suggested, what a bargain

DH Carsten Ramelow – One of the best DHs imo. Great balance to muscle off the ball from opponent. An untouchable in my team. Chip in odd goals from time to time.
CH (forward attitude set) Yildiray Basturk – Brain of the offence in link up. Great scoring ability from mid range too. Make intelligent surge in the penalty box. Was my go to guy for the OH position until Zahovic signed on.

RSH (position further up front, with fwd attitude) Dennis Rommedahl – great pace, can’t protect the ball well, great crosser of the ball. Has a really poor shot though.
OH Zlatko Zahovic – My team’s freekick specialist. Assists leader on my team. Good dribbler. Not as strong as Basturk in keeping ball possession. Fairly intelligent in running into position
LSH (inside fwd attitude) Zé Roberto – Dribble, dribble and dribble till the other team drops.

FW Henri Camara – He has speed, great shot, great header, can dribble too. Bargain hunter’s complete striker
FW Oliver Neuville – Over exaggerated speed from real life. Used him as winger before Rommedahl joined.

Substitutes
Tom Starke – back up to Butt
Marko Babic – definite first choice on central defense until Lucio and Novotny signed on the team
Kleber Saarenpaa – Great clearance, relatively shorter in height compared to my starting 3 confines him.
Marco Rehmer – Defender not afraid to go forward.
Alcaly Camara – His speed covers up his other weaknesses, rarely use him, willing to sell if offer comes
Boris Zivkovic – first to be considered as sub for CB or DH role.
Zoltan Sebescen – position attribute of SH, but I used him mostly along side Ramelow due to his 90+ balance attribute
Damien Duff – bought him for WC hype, good dribble and speed but too much of a peripheral player, get knock off easily.
Milan Rapajic – only gets rare appearance, behind pecking order of Ze Roberto and Duff on my team
Landon Donovan - one of my first year signings, a hustler, all the hard work and chances but very poor conversion rate.
Richard Morales – like a bull, great balance, powerful shot, typical power forward. Was leading scorer in one D3 season. In the manager’s dog house due to his playing style not very suitable for the team’s speed game.
Dimitar Berbatov – an enigma. Sometimes great, other times invisible.
Thomas Brdaric – fight with Henri Camara for starting line up position, capitalize on chances he gets. Post Play special attribute keeps him competitive on the team.
Ulf Kirsten – honorary member, only play in friendlies (being true to real life Kirsten)

Ballack and Placente were snapped up by other D1 teams, Inter Milan and Juventus respectively, while i was still struggling in D3. I'd like to bring Placente home when i have more points later on. I had Rink for 5 seasons and expected a lot from him (his stats look quite good and with special attribute in "goal scoring") but for some odd reason i didn't use him well, didn't quite gell with the team. When he asked for a raise at the end of 5 seasons, i let him go.

Come on guys, no one willing to share their team story? If you don't want to write a lengthy message, just post your team memebers, formation and starting eleven......... better still, players who exceeded your expectation, stuff like that.

Actually ive only just bought Totti. I had one of the standard players in his place when I won the division. Growth players are the way forward. If you win a lot of games they can get seriously good pretty quick.

Henry was top scorers last season with 25 goals. Recoba got 14 assists, as the assist leader. $$$ from winning games had never been enuf to cover salary, so the team fought and won 4 straight D1 League champs, 4 straight D1 league cups, and 4 straight ML cups... now have around 16,000 credits.

darn, I wish Konami would fix this, Marko Babic is an offensive midfielder often used as a Center Forward. He was in Croatia's World Cup squad for Christs sake.

Small mistakes like this are also present in CM.

OMG That is the BIGGEST SQUAD EVER!!! Don't let Del Bosque or the Real Madrid directors see this forum - they'll get jealous!! lol

I am trying to buy Ballack and get Ortega on loan (before the deadline), but I could finally wrap up the Extreme Division 1 title this season, I'm first place with a 7 point lead over Inter with about 9 games left.

I got fed up of not winning in Division 1 so at the end of last season I bought Djorkeaf (horrible, horrible spelling, I know, sorry), Mpenza & Chivu (this guy is awesome!).

I'm repin' the Welsh connection in the squad for sure - though I sold Paul Jones at the end of last season because Chelsea offered me a sh!tload for him. D'Allesandro keeps getting niggling injuries so that's why I'm trying to get Ortega for this season. Laurent Robert is brilliant, and Tihinen is great. Konami made Rustu crap though - he was supposed to be my #1 GK after I sold Paul Jones but he was horrible in pre-season and in the first few matches so since then Asper has been #1 (he has been my backup since season 1, so finally I guess his time has come to start!).

Not sure if it's the biggest, but probably it's the most expensive team, barring Classic players. Have tried to offload a lot of 2-tier players but since the 3rd season the CPU always asked for starters like Veron/Nesta/Zidane etc., which definitely I don't want to sell. However, this is not a team to earn $$$ as the fat checks all go to the expensive players.

If I were to have some sort of salary cap, I think the following will be my all-star team. Paces all around at OF and SH and superb (maybe lacking stamina) attacking OH's and all CB's have good reaction and man-marks (maybe lacking height though).

Really!? Thanks for pointing it out. No wonder i found him listed as Midfield in most other football sites. With that erroneous stats (CF wrongly stated as CB), no wonder why he can't break in the Leverkusen line up :D

Finally I can post my ML history.

In WE6 I've attempted ML twice. These are the stories. :D

JUVENTUS

Season 1

This did not last at all. I got the likes of Babangida but I continued to struggle. Finished last in the Division and I just quit after that ML.

ROMA

Season 1

Did very well. Drastic change from Juventus. I won the Division3 hence was promoted. I bought:

CB Hofland
CB Song - Best return on my investment, this guy eats up the 3 man Defence
CB Costa - Don't get him
CF Eto - He's good
CF Aghahowa - He's good also, gotta represent the africans
WG Babangida - Everyone knows what he can do..scored 9 goals this season
CF Vieira Pinto - Used him as an OH cos of his close control and passing

Season 2

Now we are playing with some big boys. Tough season...came down to the last game, but I finished 4th and was promoted..oh happy day. I picked up:
SH Cafu - brazilian, what more do i have to say?
DH Emerson - same as above
OH Totti - The CPU has tried to steal him away, but becos of my teams successes he is still on my squad.
OH Illiev - I needed a second OH to rest Totti, he's alright, a bit slow tho.
CF Camara - more africans, and they perfrom, scored 10 goals edged out Babangida for leading scorer by 1 goal

Season 3

My team was up in spirit...now we are really playing the big boys, how would we fair? WE WON THE TREBLE!!! In D1!! I personally think this was an amazing feat. Two seasons ago we were in D3, now we are in D1 and we won all 3 competitions, I don't know about you guys, but I gave myself a pat on the back :D

CB Stam - One word..."SOLID"
CB Canavaro - 1 v 1 specialist
DH Vanderhaeghe - Needed someone to do dirty work
WG Wiltord - Winger to complement Babangida
CF Magallanes - Used him as an OH to give Totti a rest, did well.
CF Diouf - If you don't buy this guy then you are missing out. He scored 14 Goals!! Leading score of my team and the league, Totti grabbed assists leader in the league also (with the treble and both leading scorer and leading assists...points gallore!!).
DH Toefting - I couldn't get davids...yet
DH Helguera - I'm actually disappointed with his performance. He did not fit in with the team.

Season 4

Didn't buy anyone. Thought my team was good enough you know!? Got the TREBLE again! Slimmed the team down..you know some of the default players had to go.

Diouf 12 goals (I love this guy).

Season 5

Worst season of my ML career (well...second to the Juventus season). Won the Masters Cup and that was all the silver wear 'she wrote'

DH Cellini - One of two orginals on my squad...he does his job
OH Luis Enrique - picked him up in the offseason, we'll see what he's got
WG Wiltord - gives the WG's a rest...not a bad substitute ;)
CF Vieira Pinto - still an OH, every now and then I use him upfront
CF Camara - He scores, he's a finisher, seems to be in the right place at the right time...not a strong individual player tho.
CF Diouf - My prized possesion, my scorer, franchize player...man, this guy is GOOD!!!
GK Ironov - the other original still on the squad, He's good, don't waste money on a back up when you have this guy already.

Now, you may ask yourselves why Diouf is on the bench...he's injured...and the *#@(#& that messed him up is going to pay for that. I have a bias for some of the African players...yeah I admit it, woot! :kader: On a serious note, they do the job...and they do it quite well. My formation is a 3-5-2. Italian style, but I'm not defensive at all.

And Oh yeah, before I forget, every seaons I change the Kit, even if it is slight. I was prompted to do this when I was promoted my first season, got some money, I was feeling good, I figured a new kit ought to be in order. It's pretty neat when you are about to start a season, and the first pre-season matches, your sporting the new kit :D

Darn, I really wanna buy Rapaic, but he is not in WE6 :(

He's great at SB especially, like you mentioned, for pushing up the wings. My salary cap (I have a stingy 'imaginary' chairman, lol) won't let me get the Cafus or R.Carlos' of the ML so Mehdi does the job for me, along with Chivu on the left side they really can cause some problems for defenses when they ghost in along the wings.

You are crazy, man......I like your idea though, I think I'm going to steal it! :)

You're right about Diouf too - he is incredible, I had him on my ML Liverpool team on Hard mode and he was just a goalscoring machine (in tandem with the assist machine Recoba aka Neutral's favourite player in WE6).

He is in WE6, in the unlock secret player section. I signed him real cheap as free agent. As i mentioned, he is a sub for Ze Roberto and Damien Duff for the Left SH position on my team.

Quite a good idea!

I don't change their kit (only update them with the new Leverkusen 02-03 kit) But i change the staidum instead. I gave them a crappy stadium when we were playing in D3 (stadium with one covered stand and pitch with more dirt than grass). Now in D1, i let them play one of the WC stadiums in Japan, ha ha.

Win ML D1 3 times. Each time u get a batch of secret players.

U may wonder why i got him eventhough i haven't won ML yet. When i copyed the option file from a local game shop for the Eng name translation of the players, their option file has everything unlocked. I was a bit upset as it took away some of the fun of discovery.

Man!!! 3 games into the season, Diouf gets injured. He comes back game 19. I play him even when he has the "delicate" status. He scores after his second game. 2 games in delicate status, 3 games in normal status, he scores in his last 4...game 4 in normal status...he gets injured :mad: :kader: SUX! Oh well, I'll just rest him until next season even if he is well before hand. :(

My key players got injured this season too. Rommedahl was injured at the beg of the season. Neuville was hurt few games afterwards. Strangely though, Neuville got back healthy (normal status) earlier than Rommedahl. Rommedahl is still at the delicate state???? I am now approaching the last quarter of the season. Mind u that their "injury" level are both A, i was left scratching my head on this one.

Due to their absence, i am currently 4th from the bottom of the table, seriously in danger of relegation to D2:(

Champions of Division 2 and sitting pretty at the top of Division 1 at the moment.

We dont perform too great in the rain and I need more investments on the bench. I might keep Baroja as he did have a great partnership with Aghahowa last year. Nakata and Dyer seem to be the main play-makers.

On level 4, 1st season in Div 1 playing as FC Barcelona.
Started off losing 2 out of 3. I was in the bottom 4 midway through the season.
Then I got a hang of the level, started banging in goals with my unorthodox formation.
I went on a winning streak 10/14. Last day of the season, 4 teams still could win D1 and I had
to win at Real and Milan needed to beat Juve. I got a draw and finished 4th. But it was
a terrific comeback from 4th bottom to 4th in 15 games.

I've started up an new 3* game and I feel challenged (Hurah!).

Once again I'm with Newcastle and surprisingly tipped for promotion from D2 after a phenomenal last gasp win against Deportivo!

It may have only been the opeining game but two Castello goals saw us through. In fact the last minute winner was a peach!

I just hit from about 23 meters out and it was heading straight for the keeper. The keeper didn't shift and the ball just flies over him. Nice.

The following game Castello does the magic again from more distance against Fiorentina. He hits it from about 26 meters and it squeezes into the top corner. Toldo is beaten and lands face down on the floor.

New signings include Hidetoshi Nakata and other people that I can't remember. So far we're unbeaten.
