CM 99/00 - I had a player infected with food poisioning before a Cup Final. A new mishap for me. This had me laughing for a while before I sighed, shook my head, and went on playing.

But later on I began to wonder....what else could happen?

LOL To be honest, I've never heard the food poisoning one before - I've seen the flu, and that spreads through your team.

Apparently, in the original Championship Manager (which I have never played) players did die - I heard that once in a blue moon you'd get a message that so and so had been 'stuck by lightning'! That would be hilarious!

They should cross The Sims with CM99/00 - what a classic that would be!

Try playing an Albanian team in the first round of the UEFA Cup. Thats when I FIRST experienced it.

Then I got it again playing Inter away in the Cup Final! Jamie Pollock, my second string DMC came down with it. Must have been some bad spaghetti or something...:-)
