this game looks so fu.ckin amazing!

Features:

* 34 leagues including the fully licensed English Premiership, French LFP and German Bundesliga with over 20,000 FIFPro players and more than 25,000 up-and-coming youth and generated players.

* Youth Development - By creating youth academy facilities around the world you can sign the best young talent available enhancing the club’s future prospects. Players as young as 9 years old can be signed and developed for the future.

* Detailed Training System - An easy to understand and detailed training system enables the manager to customize the training schedule for the entire squad as well as individual players or groups of players. A weekly update about the players’ training results provides the manager with important information on their attitude and physical condition.

* Transfer market - The transfer market is the heart of the game! As the manager you participate in exciting and realistic negotiations against tough adversaries from around the world to get the players you wants for your club. This feature includes contract clauses such as bonus payments, releases, “highest paid player”, contract extension options as well as the latest EU transfer regulations.

* Tactical Strategy - The Manager can set up tactics that exploit the key weaknesses of the opposing team. Areas of influence include assigning a playmaker, the determination level of the team at certain periods during the game, the shooting distance from the net, counter-attacking play, conduct on and off the ball, and use of the offside trap

* 3D Match Engine - The spectacular graphics of FIFA’s 3D matchplay engine provides the most realistic gameplay experience of any football management sim. During the match the player can shout orders at his players with the effects visible on the pitch. However, the player has to be careful as each shout includes the risk of the manager being sent to the stands.

* Text Mode - A special text mode displays match highlights with background sound effects. This mode describes everything from corner kicks, free kicks and penalties to one-twos and counter-attacks. During the match the manager can substitute players, shout orders or change the tactics of his team. He can also view different information including the match report, player ratings, watch list of players and scores of other matches.

* MP3 Player and Talk Radio Link - An integrated MP3 player enables the user to tailor the background music to his own tastes by loading MP3’s stored on his PC. He can also connect to live talk radio to hear the latest football news, match play-by-play or interesting interviews with prominent managers and players.

* Extensive Editor - The user has full control over all the data in the game. It is even possible to change complete league structures or to add new countries to the game.

Totally right. In Fifa series the gameplay sucks and the graphics are good. At least for me.:)

Well I saw all the features of the game on their site for over an our (my gf is angry at icq cos I forgot her:D ) and I think that CM4 will have to be much better than people are saying it will be to beat this game and his huge ammount of options.

Dude I just played the demo and My god its ***in amazing. Everything is so detailed and the 3d engine looks freakin nice! The text mode is cool too and I like how you can talk to ur players during halftime or about their training and they would respond to ur comments. There're still a couple of things I still dun understand though, so when the game comes out the manual better be good. Overall a huge step in the right direction for EA. TCM won't surpass CM just yet but this version shows huge promise. GREAT JOB EA!!!!!!!!!!!

The worrying thing is, this game is supposed to be excellent but Luke Didd, (one of the ppl working on the series) says that this is just the START of a brand spanking new project and that TCM2004 will be a massive step up and everything. LOOK OUT CM!!!

Man, I love the little details of this game. Shame we don't seem to have a "save" feature on this demo. Any ideas?:kader:

No, you will not be able to have 100% control over players.

I played it a bit today and the game is really incredible.
Like INFESTA said it´s a shame we can´t save it (I had bought Owen for Man U) bit I´m really impressed so far.
I´m couting the days for the full version cos I don´t like to play in EPL. I usually play with Barcelona or Milan.:D

summary:

TCM- bored after one day

CM- just never gets boring

____

some will love TCM, others won't... I dont really like it... it has so many details (that CM doesnt) BUT they get repetitive :(

Heskey is pissed off when I buy saviola, then the same happens with Dudek when i buy Casillias, then with Xavier and Sagnol, and then with Murphy and Rui Costa :jambo: and I always get the SAME comment from the players...

also, when reporters ask you questions before/after the game... its annoying to hear the same question many times...

i also wonder if the game scores are automatic, or if you could save before a match, play it, and then load the game before the match the score would be different...

i don't really like the transfer system either... it's just too easy... in CM its hard to make players want to join your club... here, you just give a few thousand more, and Raul is yours.

i will stick to CM for now... and hopefully CM 4 will come out before March :( i am also hoping that CM 4 will have some basic features that TCM does... like loaning money, improved youth system (thing that i probably love most about TCM), system management, more interaction with fans and players.

Might be a dumb question, but does anyone know if this game will have some kind of online play feature? I think this type of game would be a great thing to play online in an organized league..

they say that online features will be added to 2004. But right now you can only play multiplayer on the same comp.

Dammit Kader is right this **** is too complicated and im sure all this stuff you have to do will get repetitive and boring because they made it too fancyy.I cant even buy players.

Can't stop the rush...
20-08-2002, 12:22:PM
I agree with K man about the buying players thing. I think it's too easy buy players. I offered Inter the min amount for Ronaldo and they accepted and then he agreed to terms without any fuss.:jambo:

Long live the immortal CM series.:D

What I mean is that the next 1 is going 2 be a hell of a lot better than this 1, the demo of this 1 is amazing so what do u think TCM2004 will be like? Absolutely breathtaking, its a worrying thing from CM's point of view

Well, I thought the old editor (FAPLM 2002) was already pretty good. And the new one has so many more features. Like adding countries and leagues. Making new league regulations (say like a newly promoted team starts with 3 points next season)..

Unfortuneately no, EA have no intention for this years and most likely not next years of having online playing. Here's hoping that 2004 will have it, but it looks like 2005 is more realistic.

ok...so if TCM 2003 is based on the fifa 2002 engine.. does this mean that TCM 2004 will be based on fifa 2003??
what do u think?

On the previous management games they've put the match engine from the previous years fifa (fifa2002:tcm2003, fifa2001:football manager 2002...) so i guess they'll probably continue the trend
