England out, so I choose Portugal as my adopted side. Portugal out so I choose Holland as my next favourite side. D'Oh.

I will be supporting Sunderland when they play the TOON next season.

AFTER 10 YEARS WE FINALLY WON THESE STUPID ****ING PENALTY KICKS!!!

Poor Holland, but I guess they couldn't have scored 1 if Merck gave them 10 penalties during the game...

CANNAVRO+NESTA! WHAT A GREAT DEFENSE! TODLO, I LOVE YOU!

For the finals I want to see: Fiore+Del Piero+Totti+Delvecchio!
di Livio for Zambrotta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I agree, the duo Totti-Del Piero was much better than Del Piero-Inzaghi .But anyways ,if we kept france from scoring in 98 ,we can still do it again ,but lets hope that we will see a true winner ,not a ref deciding a match like the one of today .

Paolo,

Italy didn't "beat" Holland. The stifled wave after wave of Dutch attacks to end this match in a draw. They advanced to the finals via the "lottery."

As a neutral, I think this is a terrible precedent. Up to this point in this tournament, the positive teams have advanced.

I don't want to hear any excuses about Zambrotta's red card. Even before his sending off, it was clear the Azurri were never going to play football. What a waste of beautiful players......

Like Alan Hansen said, "The Dark Ages of football have returned."

Bottom line, Italy and Holland both played an awful game but Holland blew two penalties. The score should of been 2-0 Holland advancing to the final but it wasn't because with some luck and some great goalkeeping from Toldo, they won.

CONGRATS ITALY!
