The background isnt really anything, but red with the 'blinds' effect. The picture quality is pretty poor too.

yeah, but if u dont listen to constructive critcism, u wont get better, or it will be harder for you to get better.

try to do something for the BG, for me this sig is just too empty.

those scanlines dont look too good either... ur other sig was much better.

I listen and accept but i dont think is that bad, i like the scan lines i agree that the BG is to simple im going to work on that and show it here

Yeah, it's better without the scanlines...

I think a lot of times using scanlines makes your work look kinda "rookie" since it seems that it's the first tutorial people always want to learn first when they start doing graphics. However, if you are gonna use scanlines, at least do them right. They're supposed to be only 1 px apart, so it looks like you're looking at a tv screen...

Im still not to keen on it. The BG is too simple for my liking. Also the quality of the pictures is pretty poor too. :(

i wanted to take computer graphics at school this year, but i cant untill i take Art 1... this year i will take that, and then next year i will take computer gfx (H) maybe i will think of a site then... unless i change my mind and take programming... which looks cool too ;)

Stick with graphics dude! and if you can, learn Flash...that's one thing I wish I had practiced more. I had about 2 weeks of training in Flash where I learned the basics, but after I never really practiced...so now I'm a little rusty with it, but I'm getting back into it...

Ah, I think your stuff is definatly good enough to put on display...and trust me dude, making a web layout is a lot easier that you might think, you could do it no problem. Besides, the trend these days is to make really simple, even plain looking sites that are really clean....I think the next version of my site will have some flash, but it's going to be really simple I think, no heavy graphics.

i was thinking about that programming course, because i thought i could use that more in the future. its visual basic, javascript, and html... but you are right, i will probably stick to computer gfx :)

not really... because its not setting a good example for others...

then someone will add 5 pixels to the width and height say... well... its just 5 pixels! and then someone will make it bigger than 6 and so on...

its just to prevent that from happening, and then when someone has a bigger sig he cant say "but mauricio does to and you are not doing anything about it"
