They still won't win more than 4 games this year :D
xxxFLYERxxx 04-09-2002, 03:41:AM Donovan McNabb and the Eagles.
This is the team to beat this year in the NFC. Espceially since they just signed Antonio Freeman.
Let's go Buffalo! Ay-oh Ay-oh!

Wow, do you smell that. Yeah, wow, that's quite a lot of bull****.
The Eagles defense will be nothing without Jeramiah Trotter. Why they took the Franchise Player tag away from him, and just let him go on his way is a mystery to me, but it was just plain dumb.
Oh, on Freeman, come on. Do you think there might just be a reason why he's been replaced by a guy who's injured or just skips games all the time, a second year man, yet to catch a pass, a rookie with a learning disability in one of the most complicated offensive schemes in football, and a career 4th reciever? It's because he's past it, and won't make an impact.
The Rams and 49ers are the teams to beat, and the only other team with a chance in my opinion is the Packers.
Of course the NFC is wide open compared to the AFC, they might as well cancel the AFC season, and just send the Steelers to the Super Bowl.
Can't stop the rush... 09-09-2002, 11:21:AM 49ers!!!!!!!!:mrpimp:

Do the names Levon Kirkland and Barry Gardner mean anything to you? We're more than covered in the linebacker spot.
As for what you said about the recievers. James Thrash can catch and is a solid #1 reciever. Todd Pinkston is quick and had a good season last year. Freddie Mitchell was amazing in college, and should do well when he gets the chance.
yea.

He had his chance last year.
And yes, I'll tell you what the names Kirkland and Gardner mean to me. Levon showed up at Seahawks camp (after like a month of trying to lose weight) at something like 320 lbs. That's 10 lbs more than he entered the weight loss program at. He's washed up, has been ever since he left the Steelers. He should adequately fill Trotter's place in run situations, but he won't help the pass defense at all.
And I know just about everything about football, and have never heard of Gardner, so I don't think he's going to be a huge factor.

well he started last year for us at outside LB, and did a damn good job. He was moved to the center this year. He was drafted a couple years ago to back up trotter, and changed positions to give him more playing because he impressed the coaches.
Anyway, im not so confident in my statement anymore after the loss to the titans, but I would say that the Rams and Eagles are the teams to beat. Niners havent gone far enough into the playoffs yet.
Nimreitz 10-09-2002, 03:36:AM I agree that the niners are unproven, but I think a main part of that is because they are in the same Division as the Rams. Had they been in the NFC East of Central last year, there would be a different situation. Particularly the East in my opinion. That extra Playoff game they have to play every year makes a difference.
