Decent game. Saw things I liked saw things I didn't like. Borrowing some PES moves, this is a good thing.

But please somebody, anybody, SHOOT THE BALL!!! What the heck! It was just back and forth back and forth. I really hope that was CPU vs CPU. Also, I like the traps in the 1:26 min and the 2:50 min. :rolleyes: The ball looks a little tight, but it goes from 0-60 in 0.1 seconds, and the player receiving can trap it!? :(

it's a very average video, and the fact that there's not one shot in 3 minutes, real time, just shows how stupid the AI are, there were clear through every time, it was just take it in turn to tackle each other in the ****ing area.

well that'z the best video so far...cool.the only prob seems to be the defending mode when the defender goes back and back again.this seems unrealistic but with a some fixes it will be cool 2.
theres one shoot in all the movie and i can said am imppressed...looks like iss,pes!!!

Guys it's true there wasn't many shots to goal. But......you must admit the passing looked very good. Seriously it looked pretty realistic. I don't know..it looked very good, real.

Hmm, its a bit weird. The AI in this video is terrible, the players dont seem to want the ball, and they seem to run directly for goal instead of passing.
Graphics look amazing, and passing and running animations look better.
I just hope the AI improves.
It does sort of remind me of PES, but as I said the Ai in this is crap.

bzzz! not so fast.

First of all, that wasn't a shot, that was a pass to the other attacker running towards the goal...I think the AI is programmed to walk the ball into the net.

Second of all,

fifa2003 < PES

more like fifa2003 = isspe1
(but even this is debatable if the AI doesn't SHOOT!)

sorry guys but the commentator said somethin about shootin...and i was confuse...the passing was good....better than previous versions....the defending mode it's a litle weird...:rolleyes:

movie was excelent

Looking at the movie, "wow" is wut I got to say about the graphics. If only Konami could get that kind of graphics for WEs I'd be set.

*Grahpic and player animations are diff. as I see it.
FIFA has better grahpics meaning better resolutions etc,
While PES/WE has better player animations, ball physics etc...

It's the matter of looking nice [FIFA] vs. feeling real [PES/WE]


Anyways, from the movie here's wut I got out of it.

[Pros]
- Great graphics. Stadium, kits, players etc..
- Better player animations.
- REALLY improved ball physics.

[Cons]
- Computer AI?? Why do they just run up the field like a blind bull??
- Haven't seen any real passes made into space.
- Haven't seen any lob passes made into space.
- Any improvement on the 1-2s?? Can you do 1-2s where you could lob over defenses?? Like you would in PES/WE.
- Any button to trigger runs?? Just like you would do a 1-2 in PES/WE?
- Where's the shooting done??
- What about the all new freekick mode??
- Haven't seen any slide-tackle animation.
- Net animations? This is nicely done in PES/WE.
- Commentary doesn't sound too good.

Overall, I do admit FIFA2003 looks better than any previous FIFAs. Personally, didn't even like FIFA98. [Why's it so good gameplay wise?? older WE series play a whole lot better IMO]

Well, it does look promising in some areas. Hope EA really do come up with a decent Footie this time. If not I'll stick with my WE6, that plays like a beauty ^^

I think there are a few promising things from the movie, and of course is just cpu vs cpu.

I noticed the new way a defender will back pedal before making a challenge.

They did try and walk it in, but there was some nice passing, and a player pushing the ball well in front of him when he was sprinting, I think it was Zambrotta

I thought showing the team logo graphic on the field before the game was a nice touch, and of course the rotating ad boards.

I also noticed that at the start its John Motson with Ally McCoist, what has happend to the housewives favourite Andy Gray, maybe he is off shagging housewives! :crazyboy:

The CPU not that creative at the moment. I see players making runs and the player goes himself, come on EA be more creative, pass it to ur attacking players. The players need to open up the ball more to their running wingers or midfielders. Why does Del Piero runs towards the defence, instead he can pass it to his team mate? Come on EA, come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Plsss hire me so I can assit you what a real footie is.

Noticed that the midfield supporting the forwards which is good. The crawd sucks, when a team attacks they need to get excited and sound louder. The comminting is great. I also noticed that the player passes the ball up and the midfielder chasing it and can't get the ball which is great just look at min 1:57. Look at min :35 carefully, is it me or is the ball makes these trails on the grass when it is been passed??? Also look at min :39 the passing makes these dusty trials right after the ball. The passing and the ball trapping or controlling the ball is great. Love Del Piero's turn.

Look at min :12, I see a flare burning in the stands.

We will see when we go further on these movies. I can't tell yet. All I can say is that the CPU creativity really sucks. Hopefully will get better. EA plssssss take your time and corect these little mistakes.

And if i'm not mistaken, an interviewee stated that the game was not well tweaked yet, especially in the AI department. And obviously, it is usually the AI which is developed lastly. So before you guys go squealing like hell, note that this is only an alpha version. I'm sure EA will fix this by the demo.

Ohhh thank you very much for the info, now I understand why the CPU plays bad. Hopefully the CPU will be more creative when it is fully done. ;)

Crossing... heh well, we all know EA's football knowledge is quite Suspectible, so I don't think it'll really be implemented..

Oh yeah, and note the off-the-ball movement. Quite good ain't it? Really unlike FIFA 2002...
However, commentary is still crappy. They have hardly improved it since FIFA 98, but Sound effects on a whole has improved dramatically.

The alpha version a month to 1.5 months away from release? Not too likely. IMHO, the game is complete, and will indeed play the way you see in the movie. The only thing they MIGHT have been waiting for was last Saturday's transfer deadline, such that they might finalize rosters (particularly with the Ronaldo situation), but that's it. After that, look for the game to "go gold," or be mastered and ready for production right about now.

Look at min 2:37, I love the air control with his feet and turning and than loosing the ball.

No... Actually it's probably 2months away. If you know basic programming, it's really easy to tweak the AI in 1-2 weeks.

Well see there is still about 2 months or + days to release the game. EA is improoving the gameplay at the moment. They have at least another month to improove on this. If this is the true AI in that movie than this game will suck bad. :kader:
But if that gameplay is from the Alpha version than the improovements will rock :rockman:

Ohhh EA I am begging you :Bow: Please fix the gameplay. We PC soccer gamers got nothing at all. Come on EA :Bow: you can do it, come on EA we all know you can do it. How hard is it to improove that AI?

Come on guys this is not the full version, I watched it over and over and over and over......... at this movie and the gameplay is too basic and this can't be the full game. It had to be the Alpha, not even close to the full version. No one has the full version yet, the Demo is not accessible to any of the gaming sites yet, how is it possible for EA to release the full play? Lets waite another 3-4 weeks.

I too am not that impressed with the engine. I suspect it'll be another B-grade game by EA. Great graphics though

I hope you're right man. I mean the gameplay needs improovement. The damn player running with the ball he has players around him and he does not pass at them but instead he is running towards the defence with the ball.

look at 1:49 - the adboards behind the goal turn to another sponsors !!!!

Nahhhh I don't believe that this is the final complete game. The gameplay is too basic. Look at min 3:14 when juventus player making his run and the roma player just runs along with him instead tackling him. Also this can convince me that this is the Alpha version cause some players won't have their nubers on their uniform, it is not complete yet. The final work will play much much better than this basic gameplay.

After watching the video multiple times i am quite convinced that this title wont be much different from previous versions.

I mean it still looks heavily scripted and unrealistic in relation to gameplay. Eye candy wise it will rock but eye candy alone is no longer enough.

True.. although things like that will just be tweaked and ironed out over time. The thing that concerns me is the engine in general.. it doesnt appear to have changed much.

nop,this version will be for sure...the best version of fifas.the passing and controling is excellent...about the no shooting,and no tackling i believe this was a very alpha version of the game and probably the difficulty setting was to begginer!!!

am not dissapointed am sure that in next videos we will c shootin tacklin and lobbing...the thing that realy bother me is the defensin style...defender goes back and back until he is reach a position and then he is start defending... :rolleyes: sometimes difender and attacker running both in the same way...i hope that will be fixed... :rolleyes:

yup...nice video, the gameplay was not same the previous FIFA att all.... the game was more realistic and the physic of the ball was better.

but the AI still must more to improve and why he doesn't shoot when he near to goal post?

The video looks much like winning eleven , iss or pes. However as Matt told me the passing meter is not removed so it surely is CPU vs CPU.. this doesn't prove anything. If CPU can always pass to feet, and players can't.

Huh? what do u mean this does not prove anything? It does not matter who plays, the gameplay shouldn't be like that.

i mean I hope that humans playing should also be able to pass ball to feet, otherwise, it's unfair.. thus it will be broken.
