View Full Version : The best thing about England is IRON MAIDEN Manolo 11-01-2000, 08:54:PM enough said Lord 12-01-2000, 01:00:AM One of the best for sure. PolishPower 12-01-2000, 08:33:AM I saw Iron Maiden live 3 times, one of the best things about England no doubt about it... But who is this Robbie Williams? GOONERBHOY 12-01-2000, 12:39:PM The best thing out of england is: 1} the greatest football league ever! 2} The Prodigy! Romi 12-01-2000, 02:32:PM Undoubtebly the best thing England has ever had to offer!!!!! Simply THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! ::shinji:: 12-01-2000, 04:31:PM Good taste Goonerbhoy, Prodigy rules! Chemical Brothers and Goldie too! sglean 12-01-2000, 04:42:PM IRON MAIDEN"S gonna get ya wherever, whoever, you are. Bow to your knees and repent if you please ..sorry thats Judas Priest Maiden, the priest, Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard..Queen Long Live Rock and Roll......Rainbow Anarchy in the UK........Sex Pistols We rule and so does Man United for now.... PolishPower 13-01-2000, 07:47:AM But did you notice all the bands you mentioned are from the 70s? Sorry but American bands rule now for the past 10 years at least... GOONERBHOY 13-01-2000, 10:04:AM Kill4benfica Yeah the Chem Bros are one of the best uk bands also Primal Scream but i was kinda thinking along the lines of: Rage Against the Machine - the unrivaled #1 The Prodigy and Powderfinger (a huge band down here in Oz) and yeah i still like Guns `n Roses (real Rock) sglean 13-01-2000, 02:42:PM Point taken Polish Power Metallica Megadeth Korn MachineHead Pantera Alice in Chains Pearl Jam Rage Against the Machine Tool Smashing Pumpkins White Zombie All American but would we have heard of any of them if not for IRON MAIDEN Look carefully at the backsleeve of the KILL EM ALL album(Metallica's first)do you see the album on the shelf......IRON MAIDEN without Metallica there is no Megadeth to battle against Megadeth comes Nirvana Enter Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains and Rage Against the Machine. Machien Head is Iron Maiden mixed with Sepultura. Pantera is just heavier Maiden mixed with Judas Priest. IRON MAIDEN ruled the 80's and 90's. Becks7 13-01-2000, 05:43:PM S N U F F Becks7 13-01-2000, 05:46:PM oh, and the MAIDEN rule too! Drinky UKSN 13-01-2000, 10:25:PM Sorry, but as soon as I read the topic I lost all respect for you and everyone agreeingh with you. Soz. mars 14-01-2000, 01:01:AM Well said Manolo, IM definately the best thing to come out of England, Queen are up there aswell, mmm the good old days. PolishPower 14-01-2000, 06:43:AM Ok do you get the idea we should get a music board going here? You know what was very cool about Iron Maiden, they are really heavy into football! If you ever saw the tape they made of their concert tour in Poland(this was during Powerslave tour), they show them playing a football match vs Polish press team. And much respect to them because they were one of the few bands that went to play in the countries behind the iron curtain before it came down. But you have to admit they did kind of run out of ideas after 7th Son album, that was their last big tour in the States. I do have to agree though that they did change the way people thought Metal should sound back in the late 70s early 80s, the whole NWBHM scene also, and then Metallica changed it again in the mid 80s, well anyway I write too much on this topic... GOONERBHOY 14-01-2000, 12:05:PM RAGE...............What better time than now! The Unrivaled #1 All hell can`t stop us NOW! sglean 14-01-2000, 01:49:PM Well said Polish Power I actually played(football that is) with Maiden during the recording of Powersalave at compass point in Nassau Bahamas we played everyday and Steve Harris is very good I was playing college football in the US at the time. He could easily have been a pro. Metallica really did push the envelope but i think they created thrash which sort of died. Yes 7th son was the beginning of the end you can only hear Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner so many times. But Donnington waas a great way to go out. Met Nicko recently in Miami at the airport he has kids as old as me. System Of An Up 14-01-2000, 05:59:PM actually, the best thing to come out of england was bush. have you heard sixteen stone, it's the best album ever. BDY 15-01-2000, 12:13:AM Best thing to come out of England? Radiohead. IM are okay, but Led Zep and Sabbath are better. Why with loads of great bands in England did they have to pick Robbie Williams? I mean, he really sucks. And don't forget he used to be in that bollocky boy band, Take That. Ewww. PolishPower 15-01-2000, 06:13:AM Saw Bush at Woodstock and they impressed the hell out of me, probably the best English band right now. Fat Bhoy Tim 15-01-2000, 06:42:AM 5 Best things to come out of England 1)Yorkshire Pudding 2)Def Leppard 3)Iron Maiden 4)Bush 5)Aston Martin . . . . 120)Posh Spice 155)David Beckham Galo 15-01-2000, 08:19:AM No,no, you are all wrong. OASIS is the best band in the world!!! Theyre going to live forever!
