Hi guys,
I want to know - even you want - about your preferred Gameplay for FIFA.

Do you prefer it to be like PES, WE or anthing else ?

Or you want it to be as it is ( FIFA Gameplay ) with some developments ??

for myself, I want it to be FIFA's Gameplay because it lets you think before you do anything, No unreal movements or passes like PES or WE sometimes.

Well, I prefer the upcoming FIFA 2003 gameplay, even if I didn't see it yet, I'm sure it'll be great.

After try the demo I'll tell you the definitive reply :p

Well 4 me I prefer Fifa's Gameplay since eveery game should have its own characteristics, strength and weaknesses. I'm still playing Fifa 2002 and I still love it as I've tweak the AI the way I feel Football should be played and therefore I'm not p*ssed off of it. :crazyboy: :crazyboy:

Even their own personnel says FIFA is for a bigger audiance and not for the hardcore gameplayer.
And unreal moves?! :crazyboy: :confused: PES/ISS/WEx are reknown for their realism: Not 99,9% of the goals from the same striker and not 80% of those goals from a cross, followed by a bicycle-kick!

Or do you mean the moves in PES/ISS/WEx are so good, they are unreal?! ;)

Of course PES/ WE gameplay is a lot better...comparing the 2 games, i should say that FIFa still remains in "Stone Age Of Gameplay" and PES/ Winning Eleven are in "Intergalactical Transportation Age"...probably , you guys who prefer FIFA's gameplay never ever played real football. :kader: :kader: :kader:

If Fifa 2003 turns out to disappoint, i'm gonna apply a mod chip in my ps2 and get WE6...or perhaps 7 if it comes out soon...who knows.

Meanwhile...will the jap version of the Gameboy Advanced WE6 work for a US GBA???

C'mon, Fifa 2002 isn't like that! The pc rarely makes volleys, but certainly wins headers a.s.o. You can say much about fifa 2002, but not that the bicicle-kick-thing hasn't been corrected.

Well I really have to say, just because someone says they don't like a particular game doesn't mean they have never played football, that's silly. Try using that angle on the Unreal Tournament forum:


1st poster: "I don't really like this game very much, it's physics aren't as accurate as 'Ghost Recon'. "

2nd poster: "Well I bet you've never been stranded on an alien world over-run by hideous creatures hell bent on killing you before have you, how do you know what the physics are supposed to be like???".

I know that's a bit of an extreme example, rather funny really


Sure FIFA games have not matured as much as the ISS/PES series, I personally don't like PES, but ISS2 plays better than any fifa game i've ever had. I hope 2003 plays similar, that would be fantastic.

For me best gameplay is gameplay of winning eleven 2002

Im not sure FIFAs graphics are that much better than PES to be honest. Certain things are like the pitches and stadia, but the players (faces and animations) are rubbish. PES faces are way way better.

I'm going to give wabberXP the benefit of a doubt.

I think he was asking that do we want FIFA to buy PES2, disassemble the code, copy it change the variables names so that FIFA plays exactly like PES2 or do we want the guys at EA canada (or wherever) to improve their own gameplay model to be more realistic. (And then I just ignore his other comments sarcastic or not).

I think that if FIFA where to come up with it's own gameplay model and make it look realistic, it will start to look like we/pe. The key is realistic. The most realistic is we/pe, if FIFA are to get realistic, they'd approach we/pe.

But even if the gameplay of the two games are equally as good (bahahahhhahahhahahhhhaaaahhahahhahahhhaaaaa! er erm), they will still have their different styles. Which I think is a good thing. Different styles as in grafx, rendering, masterleague, leagues, etc etc etc.
