I am still convinced that FIFA 94 was the best FIFA game yet. LoL If you have access to this game, it is a lot of fun. What I liked about it best was the cheesy, but fun engine. It wasn't unfair and it was well balanced.
Another thing that I liked about it was an @sskicking option. If you wanted to, you could kick some @ss. Of course it would land you a card and possibly get you expelled, but you could always slip one by the ref. LoL Me and my brother would turn fouls off and just have an @sskicking competition just for fun.
This was also implemented very well in FIFA 99. I loved having the option that if I was pissed off enough, I could wail some hits on a player of the opposing team. I even mastered this to the point where if the stupid CPU opponent would use EA's wonderful programming to its advantage (I.E. plowing my players in the box, running from the other half of the field to catch me surprisingly, or foul me and not get called on), I could foul discretely and get away with it.
The reason I specify this is because it kept me sane when I was playing FIFA games. I had the option to release stress if necessary when playing. I believe that this is important and should be implemented once again if EA wants to keep people satisfied with their crappy games.
