.... okay last night (Tuesday) Newcastle lost (again) nuff said about that

but the news today is that Craig Bellamy has been handed a 3 match ban by the UEFA affecting Champions League matches !!! for head butting a player during the Kiev v Newcastle game (2-0)

all of you who saw the incident will agree that it's was a nothing confrontation ./..

it just makes me sick when I think back to Rivaldo during the WC who didn't get a ban at all. Or UEFA and that Red Card system ...

I'm not just defending my team ... but for everyone concerned in UEFA .... it's sad coz they're a bunch of bastards. I just yell now coz it affects my beloved Newcastle United.

:kader: these people are sick

I saw the footage of it and Bellamy did headbutt (or at the very least attempt to headbutt) that player.

But if FIFA or UEFA are going to use video evidence for that kind of decision then they should use it for most incidents, including the overreaction of the other players involved.

It was as clear a headbutt as it ever will be and it deserves punishment. If the ref has seen it Bellamy would have been off and a three-match ban given, so justice has been done. It is innocous, yes, but the Kiev player didn't even play act and just stood there so there was no cheating involved. Bellamy knew that he did a stupid thing and has apologised. Hope he learns from this bitter experience.

yep, i have no sympathy for Bellamy, he deserves the ban, but i can understand why you are pissed off ShearerM4, as video evidence could have been esaily used on other incidents as well

If they use video as the evidence for this, y they dont use video for considering offside??

Because we don't want to wait for 2 minutes before a simple offside decision can be made. This video-evidence-decision took Uefa 1 week to make. Imagine the game stopping for 7 days before it resumes after an offside decision.
