IGNPS2 did a hands on preview of Fifa2001 and while they (predictably) went on about how amazing it is (since they've never seen a football match in their lives) they also included some videos.

Take a look at them, they all display the excellent 'PINBALL' gameplay of this next generation EA Sports game, and PLEASE PLEASE check out the movie entitled;

"SUUUPA-SAVE" - its hilarious, in about 12 seconds FOUR DIFFENT PLAYERS get clearly fouled in the game (all tackles from behind) and just like in Fifa 2000 the ref doesn't call a thing....

I think EA should sack their 'Fifa' staff - bunch of morons, I played the demo of Fifa 2000 ver. 1.1 er...I mean Euro 2000....where do I begin with such drivel.....well...since when does Beckham take England's penalties?
Get back the programmers that made Fifa 98 and World Cup 98...

In the Japanese version there are only 4 leagues. Germany, Italy, Spain, England. The US version will also have the MLS.

If this holds this is a major step back in at least one respect. Regardless of how good the game is otherwise.

We willl have to wait until FIFA2005 just to get back to the leagues we have now.

The game review isnt about FIFA 2001, but about FIFA Soccer World Championship. That game is ONLY for the playstation and playstation 2.

I think those 4 or 5 leagues is that will be in fifa2001, that's the price you pay for wanting real kits, EA can't possibly get the licence for every team in every league. Personally I don't think real kits is that important because if you want a kit bad enough, there are always plenty to just download.

Oh yes, sorry, I knew it was Fifa World Soccer Championship, (typo by me), but IGNPS2 are still treating it as a proper preview for Fifa 2001 - just check the title and the sidebar - because it seems that just an MLS league will be added and the graphics improved for the US release....
